You are mean. But your page is cool. How did you do it?????
Tootsiepopgurl 00:34, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Saying I'm mean can be seen as a personal attack. As for my user page, I simply made it myself, while my talk page design I simply saw on other user talk pages, thought it was cool, and decided to use it myself. Thanks for at least giving my a compliment! --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 00:40, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

I have a question that is not mean
I have a question: Are you an administrator and also how did you figure out my terrible horrible nogood nonsense pages so fast? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tootsiepopgurl (talk • contribs) 01:08, April 4, 2007.
- I am not an administrator (that's why I only placed the speedy deletion tags; admins can simply delete them on sight). As for figuring out that the pages were nonsense, well, the fact they were nonsense was simply put, very obvious to me (and I was looking on Special:Newpages as well). --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 10:14, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Question
I am trying to add the link mms://a840.l3339731400.c33397.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/840/33397/v0001/reflector:31400 to the WKSI infobox under webstream. Problem is, it will not make a link. I am not sure if it is possible to make this into a link on Wiki. If it is, could you let me know how. Thanks....SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 06:48, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think there's a way to make a link using mms:// at the moment. Sorry. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 10:54, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Network logos in infobox
Hey hey..no worries! There was only one reason i was doing that for those four stations: i saw it was being implemented in varous other markets. If it violates your fair use images, then i'll back you up on those reversions. RingtailedFox • Talk • Stalk 01:48, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- That's quite all right. It's often easy to assume from seeing other articles what seems to be an acceptable practice, even if it doesn't quite mesh with policies. I can't really blame you on this one. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 14:04, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Network logos in infobox
I started adding network logos to infoboxes because I saw it as a common practice in the Cleveland market television articles. I assumed this was a common, accepted practice. Samuel 02:20, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- That's quite all right. It's often easy to assume from seeing other articles what seems to be an acceptable practice, even if it doesn't quite mesh with policies. By the way, it actually wasn't really that common by April 6, 2007... the trend had been reduced to a handful of eastern stations and KNXV-TV by the time I did my reverts. I can't really blame you on this one. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 14:04, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have another question. I recently signed my name as a participant on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Television Stations page. I noticed some of the users have indicated that they cover certain markets. I am wondering if I should do the same. Samuel 15:30, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Since your TV station edits cover a wide range of areas, you don't need to, but you can if you want to. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 18:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Logos in Infobox
You're correct - The use of these logos in the infoboxes does not agree with Wikipedia's Fair Use policy. The only reason I thought that it would be acceptable is that this article used the logos in the infoboxes. But when I checked it again today, the logo in the infobox was not there (a user by the name TheDJ reverted the edit by Erik16. Thank you for pointing that out.

- That's quite all right. It's often easy to assume from seeing other articles what seems to be an acceptable practice, even if it doesn't quite mesh with policies. It's nice to see, though, that you now realize this, and for that I say you're welcome. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 18:26, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello.. thanks for the note on the Jessica Biel page. I thought users might be interested in seeing images from Biel's $30,000 date, which is mentioned in the bio in the last paragraph. Orphaned fair use image (Image:WRBWmy65.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:WRBWmy65.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BigrTex 22:41, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, problem with vandalism
Hi, a user is vandalising an article, what is the standard procedure in such cases? I cannot revert anymore without risking being blocked. Thanks. Voice of Britain 16:29, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is Vob against 3 editors in a POV dispute and making what he knows to be false vandalism claims even after being asked not to. See here and User talk:Voice of Britain#Vandalism claims for more details. Thanks, SqueakBox 16:42, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- If your behavior can be explained on the discussion page of the article, I will take back my vandalism claim and apologize. The ball is in your court. Voice of Britain 16:48, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- See here, Vob got blocked again, SqueakBox 18:58, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- That's odd... I was not aware of this dispute prior to today. As I have never made an edit to the article Child sexual abuse (which is where this dispute is, it seems), I have no idea why you had to ask me (I might be missing something, however). I'd probably suggest discussion on talk pages over edit warring, however. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 20:10, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Its cos you commented on his Mfd I imagine, SqueakBox 20:15, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Probably... I just think it's odd that it would lead to this. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 20:18, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

WUSA-TV
Hello, I was wondering if it would be OK if I moved WUSA-TV from [[WUSA (TV)]] to [[WUSA-TV]]. I am not sure why it has (TV) instead of the standard -TV, but I would like to change it. I will, of course, correct any templates or other pages that have a WikiLink to [[WUSA (TV)]]. Just want to make sure it is OK before I move the page. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 20:19, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Per our naming conventions (all emphasis is mine):
Radio and television stations in countries where call signs are customarily used, such as North America, should always be titled with the official call sign as assigned by that country's regulatory authority.
If the official call sign has a suffix (-CA, -CD, -FM, -LD, -LP, and -TV are the only suffixes currently in use in the U.S.; only -FM and -TV elsewhere), a redirect or disambiguation should be added for the call sign without the suffix. For stations which do not have a suffix, if disambiguation is necessary (because the official call sign conflicts with an airport code or acronym), place the type of service in parentheses; for example, "KSFO (AM)" or "KDFW (TV)". Note: all full-power Canadian FM and commercial TV stations have a suffix; most CBC-owned TV stations, as well as most U.S. and many Mexican stations, do not. See North American call sign for more information on assignment practices.
- As the station's call sign is simply WUSA and not WUSA-TV (per its FCC query), and WUSA requires disambiguation (it can also refer to to a defunct soccer league, a 1970 motion picture, and a students' association at an Australian university), "WUSA (TV)" is the proper article title under our naming conventions. (Remember, suffixed-calls appear to be the standard because that's how many countries (like Canada) assign calls — but non-suffixed TV calls exist in the USA, and WUSA is one of them.) That's why it has "(TV)" in its title, and as a result the article title is fine as it is right now. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 23:54, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okie Dokie, that works:) I normally put my calls as -AM or -FM (if there is a like called station...like WTFX-AM because there is a WTFX-FM), but I always go -TV (which is what I thought you were supposed to do....sorry. Now, with stations that have just one station with those calls, I only add the calls, like WKSI (which is an FM, no AM). I do, disambig stations as -AM/-FM as need be and then add a disambig page too.
- But I wasn't quite sure with WUSA (TV). But, now I know. Thanks and Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 09:12, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 10:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

User:Inugirl
I think you should take a look at the posting from this user on my talk page. I don't know if you know about this user but I thought you might want to. I assume this is something that shold not be part of Wilipedia. (Here is that user's profile: User:Inugirl) Samuel 16:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Judging from the user's contributions, this user appears to be spamming user talk pages with a request for users to sign an as-yet-nonexistent campaign to save some TV show I've never heard about. I had not heard about this user before you told me (I did not get the message the user sent before getting blocked — albeit for only three hours), but I do agree that Inugirl probably doesn't belong on Wikipedia. --WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 19:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
