Dense

[edit]

You need to read wp:npa. Slatersteven (talk) 14:22, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

'Dense' is not a personal attack, but the manner in which the conversation was being held. As in it was difficult to get understanding, not that it was intentional. It's a common experience I have on Wikipedia talk pages. WatchfulRelic91 (talk) 15:23, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say being called a 'fanboy' with no evidence, is more personal than 'dense'. WatchfulRelic91 (talk) 15:25, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not really, as dense implies lack of intelligence, whereas fanboy means you are a fan (it does not have to have a negative connotation). In context it was dismissive, but not as much as your post was. Slatersteven (talk) 15:06, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean by the definition of dense when attributed to a person. However I was referring to the conversation, more as a dense subject, I'm sure you know what I mean, kind of hard to describe, but I assure you that I was not calling anybody stupid. Whereas 'fanboi' (with an i, instead of y), was obviously used to be condescending and insulting, and definitely unprofessional. WatchfulRelic91 (talk) 15:37, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As to why we are unprofessional, what would be because we are unpaid. Slatersteven (talk) 15:07, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, I know right. I at least try my best to be professional, even when I'm not paid. I get it though. WatchfulRelic91 (talk) 15:38, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
