Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Melakkal Kanavai, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Thirumangalam (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Discussion on Tags & edits
Hi, Wasif. I saw you editited this article Syed Noor Zaman Naqshbandi Shazli with bunch of tags. This article is going under a major EDIT. So, please remove those tags from there. I have NOT finished editiging it. I am in the process of gathering more book refrences and correcting the article to make it even better. If you find something that needs to be edited, Please first discuss on the talk page. Instead of posting it in the article directly. So, Please I request you not to revert my edits on this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Faizanhb2 (talk • contribs) 20:25, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Moving of Sheikh Fassy article
While you are correct in that honorifics should be in the name if they are in common use, the common name of the subject at Imam Fassi doesn't seem to include Imam. If we look at the given sources for the article: here, here and here, for example, the term isn't being used. Perhaps we can open it for a community RFC by which we can trudge the Net for more sources to be sure, but so far I haven't been able to find many referring to him with the simple title "Imam Fassi." I obviously can't rule it out as being the common name myself, I'm just saying that I haven't found many instances. MezzoMezzo (talk) 10:10, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, Thanks for bringing to my notice. Going by the sources i suggest Sheikh Fassi would be appropriate common name to have that article. Wasif (talk) 11:37, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay, I was sick. Perhaps we could put the sources on the article's talk page and take a look. I have to admit I am not familiar with the figure, those sources are just what I found so far. Still, I'd like it if we could take a deeper look to be sure. MezzoMezzo (talk) 03:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- Take care of your health. Thanks. I am familiar enough and lets go by the sources. Wasif (talk) 06:43, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
Re: Use Indian English tag
Regarding your questions on my talk page, you can look at the User:Ohconfucius/EngvarB script page which describes a tool to assist with spelling maintenance. Indian subjects will be close to UK English, so conforming spellings to "EngvarB" should suffice in most cases. There will be occasional terminology differences which cannot be sufficiently handled by an automated script, therefore some manual copyediting will still be needed. As for when the "need arises" to convert, there is no official rule and there is no deadline, although some general principles are found in WP:ENGVAR. Clean up can be done when you find an article has gone astray with spellings or wordings. Note that {{Use Indian English}} is not a request to clean up the articles, it is a marker which will remain with the article to assist other editors as to what conventions should apply. Hope this helps. Dl2000 (talk) 01:19, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Edits to 2002 Gujarat Violence
Hi, I noticed you edited the gujarat riots page recently. While I support your revert in the lede for the reasons given, I was wondering why you removed the quote from Modi about relief camps, without providing an explanation in the edit summary? It was sourced, to the Hindu. Was it a mistake? You also removed a link to the Godhra incident article. Vanamonde93 (talk) 06:48, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
Oldest Mosques
An area can only have one oldest mosque - that's what 'oldest' means. And any such claims need reliable sources by our criteria at WP:RS and can be removed if there are no such sources - anyone restoring them should restore them only with sources. There is also no "Mosque of Omar/Dome of the Rock". That's 2 mosques with separate articles. The whole article needs a lot of work. Dougweller (talk) 15:42, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
- See the criteria given in the article itself:
- To be listed here a site must:
- be the oldest mosque in a country, large city (top 50), or oldest of its type (denomination, architectural, etc.);
- be the oldest congregation of its type (denomination).

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Sufism does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history.
The edit summary appears in:

- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ)(Support) 20:30, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

There were three problems with your edit to the article on Muawiyah I:
- Quotations need to start and end with inverted commas. When you chopped the end off the quotation, you removed the final inverted commas.
- You also changed "willing" into "will" in the following sentence: "When they returned to the lady and told her that they are willing to give its weight in silver..."; "willing" is correct English; "will" is not.
- Some care is needed with removal of a statement by Mr Holland of his personal opinion. This needs to be discussed on the article's talk page. I am not sure what the right answer is.-- Toddy1 (talk) 19:47, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Mass revert
Hello and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! Your recent unexplained mass revert of multiple edits at List of Sufi saints happened to undo, along with other edits, some rather straightforward but time-consuming work I'd put in to clean up the article in accordance with WP:MOS. I don't believe my edits could be construed as controversial and you didn't include an edit summary with your revert, so I assume your reversion of all the cleanup work was unintentional. In the future, to avoid creating extra work for other editors, please be extremely careful when reverting: revert only when necessary, examine the other editors' work carefully, only undo the specific edits that are problematic, and always provide a valid and informative explanation in your edit summary. Your fellow editors will appreciate it greatly! Thanks. AtticusX (talk) 06:51, 30 November 2015 (UTC)

Your edit on Madurai
Hello! In your edit summary on Madurai, you state that "Hazrat when used as suffix... is not an honorific." This seems to contradict the main article at Hazrat, which does differentiate between Hazrat at the beginning or end of a name, but still states both are honorifics. Do you have a reference for the honorific vs. non-honorific use of the term? Happy editing! PohranicniStraze (talk) 22:20, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- sorry for late reply. In the context used in page Madurai, Hazrat in suffix is to notify that they are Islamic teachers. If you mean calling someone a teacher is honorific then it is. Generally Prefix Hazrat is honorific. I will share if i come across any reference meanwhile you can verify with native editors. Wasif (talk) 19:12, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
