Wikipedia is free for everyone to edit, but unfortunately some people abuse the power and vandalize pages. In some cases where lots of people vandalize a page, an admin will protect the page. You can either ask to edit the page or ask an admin to unprotect the page on the article's talk page. If you need other help editing, please try Help desk and the help pages. Hope you have a great time here!

LOL I know all of that but thanks for the advice. Sorry I didn't mean to give you the impression you got just one of the editors is very clearly biased in favor of police and should refrain from editing articles related to police, in my opinion :P

  • Fortunately, your opinion isn't what runs Wikipedia. What I've removed, I've cited policy and guidelines for. What have you cited besides that fact that it was in the news? Thus far, you've edit-warredNiteshift36 (talk) 15:43, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion was of Niteshift36 so get over it. You did the exact same thing when you assumed it was a political ploy. The very fact that two people have pointed out that it has made INTERNATIONAL NEWS makes it notable. Warcraftninjas (talk) 20:54, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 00:09, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I forget and go back and do it. Thanks though. Warcraftninjas (talk) 00:10, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes we know, we deal with these issues on a daily basis. We even have special groups of users and bots to edit it.

Hi

[edit]

In response to your WQA thread; yes Niteshift36 is being uncivil. Unfortunately he's not dealing willing to deal with it at WQA, and it doesn't rise to the level of something actionable at WP:ANI. On the content issue; in this sort of situation if you find there is just a few editors discussing a content issue and there is no clear consensus, consider WP:DRN and WP:RFC as two possible options for getting outside input or help. Often the conduct issues can be resolved when the conduct issue is solved. IRWolfie- (talk) 23:43, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
