Jeph Loeb
[edit]Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Jeph Loeb, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edit had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here.
With respect to the passage in question, as I explained in my first edit summary, Loeb did not create those shows, he executive-produced them. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., for example, was created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen. Agent Carter was created by created by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Dardevil was created by created by Drew Goddard, and so on. As Head of Marvel Television, Joeb is the person to whom those individuals pitched those ideas. He is not the person who created them. This is all detailed in the Wikipedia articles for those shows, complete with supportive citations.
In addition, use of puffery-type words without attribution that may appear to promote something, like "popular", should not be used, as expalined at WP:PEACOCK. I mentioned this guideline in my edit summary too. The phrase "and more" also comes across as promotional, and is redundant, in light of the use of the phrase "such as" before that list of shows mentioned.
Moreover, in the case of Inhumans, the word "popular" is untrue, as that show was not considered critically or commercially successful.
If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 23:39, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hey there @Nightscream,
- Appreciate the message about the edit in question, and you are certainly right about the mistake I made of saying he created (I got the two mixed up at the time). As for the part on puffery-type words (as you called it), I have reviewed WP:PEACOCK and can understand where a better use of words could have helped better, so thank you for that. For context, I added the "such as" along with the "and more" words as those are common words when used to describe some of the works Jeph Loeb had produced and the phrase "and more" given that there was more than just the live-action works for Marvel Television that he produced, and listing them all out would have been overwhelming or taken too much space.
- However, I do want to address the claim you made around Inhumans not being popular, as I feel that is more of a personal belief than a matter of fact, just because it was not critically or commercially successful (and you can say the same on the inverse with my original edit). The belief by many within the entertainment industry and also by publications such as CBR, is that Marvel made the Inhumans series in an attempt to make the Inhumans popular. (however I can understand where again the beliefs of yours and mine on the show's status of popularity can be divided.
- I do appreciate the message and the kind discussion we've had, and will be mindful of these when making edits in the future.
- Thanks. Wanderingmusic1295 Wanderingmusic1295 (talk) 14:38, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- Popularity can be easily measured by metrics such as ratings and critics' reviews. By that measure, Inhumans was not a success, which is why it did not continue. That's not an opinion nor a belief. Whether Marvel made that series with the intent of making them popular is irrelevant to this, since in fact, they did not succeed, something indicated in the very Collider article you linked to, which called that series "dead on arrival." If had I said that Inhumans "wasn't that good" -- that would've been an opinion. But saying that it failed to capture the hearts of viewers as other MCU properties did is not an opinion, it's simply a fact.
- Thanks for your message. :-) Nightscream (talk) 15:22, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
AEW Revolution articles
[edit]You recently attempted to move a couple of the Revolution articles and changed how the info is presented in the lead (which have been reverted because those moves and changes shouldn't have been made, at least not without a valid reason). What was your reasoning for the moves and changes? JDC808 ♫ 22:08, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hey there, sorry for just responding to your talk message.
- The reasoning for the move and lead was because compared to other wrestling articles like NXT TakeOver articles, they did not have the AEW name attached to the pages, which I believed would create confusion to others outside the wrestling community. After it was reverted, I left the articles as they were changed back and to not engage in edit wars or so forth.
- Appreciate the kind message and so forth - Mark Wanderingmusic1295 (talk) 18:21, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in The CW, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems.
