Deakin

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Take a look at the welcome page to get a hang of how things work. As to your Deakin edit: it was trivial; Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. We also go off verifiability, not truth. I had a look but could find no sources supporting the claim you made, so I removed it as unsourced. In this form it would also be considered promotional material, which contravenes our central policy of neutral point of view. Something else you should be aware of - we have a bold, revert, discuss cycle, which says that you can be bold and make a change, but if someone else reverts you then you discuss it before reverting again, because otherwise you end up in an edit war. Also, please don't mark reverts as minor edits; doing so means they might not get noticed by relevant editors and can be considered dishonest. I hope this helps explain it, and again, welcome. I hope this is how i am supposed to reply :S, i understand what you are saying and from what i can tell you are a season editor on here which is pretty awesome, in my mind truth is only that if it can be varified and so unverifiable "truths" are merely opinion. the electoral comission provides the info i think it could be a source maybe? it is here

Yep, that's along the right lines (you could reply at my talk page too to be more certain of getting my attention) - although you can sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) which gives your user name and the time. The Electoral Commission lists the candidates, but says nothing about Walsh being the youngest candidate at the election. Either way, he's a micro-party candidate and not notable enough to be mentioned in the Deakin article. He does, however, appear here, and he'll be on the page after the election in the results table.
