Hi Michael, these are all excellent topics. I give you my blessing to move forward with them! There is a problem, however, because you have not accomplished the learning modules. Please do those asap. Alfgarciamora (talk) 10:23, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Waffufi: @Alfgarciamora: I've moved this to the userspace since this appears to be part of a student assignment. When making pages for class assignments, it's usually better to make them in your userspace, either at your sandbox or in a a named page like User:Waffufi/proposed article title. What you did here was make a live page in the mainspace, which means that it would show up alongside articles like Abraham Lincoln or similar. Since this is a test page/student assignment and not an actual article, this wouldn't belong there. If you need help with anything, feel free to ask me a question or to visit the WP:TEAHOUSE, which is always staffed by someone who would be able to help you out. - Hi @Tokyogirl79:. I'm not quite sure what you mean. What did you move, and where did you move it to? This is my first time directing a WikiEd project and I am still learning the ropes. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. @Adam (Wiki Ed): Alfgarciamora (talk) 23:09, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Tokyogirl79: Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for moving it to the proper page. I was unaware I had made this post "live". I was attempting to practice in my sandbox what the training module's had suggested to practice. I will try my best to not do so again. --Waffufi (talk) 19:49, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

- Eh, no worries. This actually happens quite a lot, sometimes even with experienced editors so there's no real harm done in the end. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 02:22, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Alfgarciamora: He was practicing with moving articles as part of the training program and left out a step. Here's what likely happened:
- During the project Waffufi was asked to move the page to another title, in this case "Article Training Excercise". He was likely then asked to move it to another title, "Topics of Interest". Now during the move process there's a box that appears and looks as follows:
- In the above image you have a tab with a little upside-down triangle. When making it live you'd have to select "(Article)", but when moving it around your userspace you'd select "User". Now when moving articles in most cases you do have to do a little re-titling. For example, if I wanted to move an article in my userspace to the mainspace it'd have to be renamed from "Tokyogirl79/sample" to "John Smith". If I'm just retitling it and moving it in my userspace, I'd have to edit the title but I'd need to make sure that the tab was set to User and the title contained my username, like "Tokyogirl79/John Smith".
- In any case, what happened here was that the tab wasn't set to User and the title didn't include his username. It's not anything major and it was purely by accident. It's pretty understandable overall, as it can be confusing when you're getting used to the controls here. I've done the same thing myself, to be honest, and I'd say that the average user here has done this at least once during editing. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 02:35, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
@Tokyogirl79: Thank you SO much for all of your help with this. You have cleared up so much, and this will help me with the rest of the course. I appreciate you taking the time to clear this up as you did. Alfgarciamora (talk) 21:58, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
@Waffufi: Just took a look at your progress and I am very happy with what you have been posting. Keep up the research and please stay on top of things! Alfgarciamora (talk) 15:16, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
