Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Reliable sources

[edit]

Hello. Wikipedia has rather strict rules on biographies of a living person. It is very important to cite a reliable source when add information to these articles. Self-published sites and user-generated content are not suitable. This would include the IMDb, Ranker, blogs, and other assorted random websites. If in doubt, stick to published newspapers and magazines. See also our core content policies. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:42, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-adding unsourced information to Elisha Cuthbert. When you add unsourced information and your edit is reverted, the burden is on you to provide sources for its inclusion. I have cited some of the awards that you added, but I couldn't find sources for some of the others. If an award, especially a nomination, is so minor that nobody has reported it, it's likely that including the award is undue. At the very least, a citation to the official site would be required. ok, and I quote the sources of other prizes can?Wade Jones (talk) 15:42, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand what you're asking, but if you can cite the awards with a reliable source, you can add back anything that I removed. Reliable sources would be sites like Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, Deadline.com, TheWrap, etc. You can see a partial list at WP:FILM/R. I don't know what to say. Will you please stop adding poorly sourced content to Elisha Cuthbert? This time, all you did was link to the main site of the awards organization for many of these awards. I check them, and they don't even mention Cuthbert anywhere on their site. You really not to stop adding poorly sourced content or you can lose your access to Wikipedia. I'm sorry, now that I understand how to edit, but I understood your tips.Wade Jones (talk) 20:36, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
