Peer Review

[edit]

Overall, your draft seems very well done! The formatting, flow, and readability of it are great, and there is a wide range of sources that you are drawing your information from (that are also linked and cited properly). The additions are relevant and add to the current Wikipedia page nicely.

There are only a couple of things that I would recommend changing. The lead section could be a little more directed at the content (ex. using the words "first" and "second" when referring to the trials), and the section on the second trial could be made a bit more concise as it has a lot more text than any of the other sections.

For additional content, perhaps adding information on events happening in Calabria at the time would give context to the peasants behavior toward Musolino. ReimyLi (talk) 16:49, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I do see what you're saying about distinguishing between the two trials; it might get a little confusing upon first reading if you aren't already familiar with Musolino's story.
I can totally add more about how things were in Calabria at that time. I need to show why that specific area had an impact, not just how.
As for what you said about the section about the second trial: do you really think I need to focus on concision there, or is the rest just too short? I plan on fleshing out the other sections, which will probably make the article seem more balanced as a whole. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Peer Review Overall I thought your article did a very good job finding a lot of information about Musolino's life events. I know we are working with limited information, but from this draft, I couldn't even tell! I also think you did a great job with the citations and the links to other Wikipedia pages. I would just be careful using stronger language when describing Musolino's potentially corrupt trial. If the sources are biased here make sure that you make that clear to the reader in order to maintain a neutral stance. I would also suggest adding more of your own information about Musolino's impact and legacy.Madisonokon (talk) 16:20, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I already responded to your comment under the Musolino talk page, but Dr. Schult said in class today to make sure we respond to everybody, so I'm also doing so here just in case. As I said in my first reply to you, I'll spend this week working on rewording my article so as to not be suggestive of certain narratives, and also adding to the last section. Again, thanks!
