[edit]Dear student editor, please go to textbooks and "annual reviews" if you want to discuss mechanism and function of a major class of enzymes. Do not rely on primary literature. Another route is to search Chemical Reviews: Synthetic Analogues Relevant to the Structure and Function of Zinc Enzymes Gerard Parkin Chemical Reviews 2004, 104, 2, 699-768 (Article)Subscribed Access Publication Date (Web):January 24, 2004 DOI: 10.1021/cr0206263
Recent Advances in Zinc Enzymology
William N. Lipscomb and Norbert Sträter Chemical Reviews 1996, 96, 7, 2375-2434 (Article)Subscribed Access Publication Date (Web):November 7, 1996 DOI: 10.1021/cr950042j
I suspect that the mechanism of action of this enzyme is fairly settled.--Smokefoot (talk) 15:20, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
