Speedy deletion nomination of Legacy of the Silver Shadow
[edit]A tag has been placed on Legacy of the Silver Shadow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello,
I requested the deletion of the above both with respect to the original copyright violation as well as your own statement on the talk page that you would like it to be deleted. Since you mentioned having issues with starting an article, you may want to check out WP:FIRST for a few solid pointers to get you going. Also, one advice regarding copyrighted text: I suggest, when you start your article again, that you completely forget the copy / paste function and write the new article from scratch, in your own words, summarizing what you know from the sources you use. This makes it much easier to avoid using similar language or structure than the source. If you need any further assistance, don't hesitate to create a new section here and place {{helpme}} below it, someone will be along shortly to answer your question. Alternatively, you can of course leave a message on my talk page. Best, MLauba (talk) 12:11, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Marabounta
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Marabounta (Code Lyoko 36) has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. –túrianpatois 07:51, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
I redirected the episode article because every episode was merged quite some time ago, and there simply aren't enough sources floating around for them to ever be worthy of their own articles. I'm not sure why you picked such an arbitrary start point, but please focusing on improving the articles we have. It's probably excessive as is. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 08:02, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Those are two fundamentally different things, and has no bearing on how Wikipedia works. I suggest reading WP:RS to start. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 08:40, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Editing the episode list is fine, just don't make individual articles. It's nothing but plot summary. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 15:30, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:36, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
