Symoné Jones Peer Review

[edit]

Vonney25, I believe we worked together in class on the article review. You have a very interesting topic and you have a great start. Just remember to be mindful to not become biased when talking. I'm interested to see the article develop more. So please, continue to add more to the article. I suggest possibly adding more history on the sports and links to their Wikipedia pages as well as solutions to the current problems you have observed. Nia Dokes Peer Review

[edit]

Dear,

Vonney25 I love the premises of the article I learned a lot from the article in terms of how basketball and football or sports, in general, are mostly dominated by men that is something that I never realized until this was brought to my attention. I would say fix the word helpnig to helping within your article and maybe add a couple of solutions in terms of what could be done to make sure that more women will be hired in within male-dominated sports. Raegan's Peer Review

[edit]

Hey! This article is very interesting. I never thought to think about this topic, especially in regards to sports. I do agree with the gender inequality statement amongst women in men. Off topic, even in the world today, especially when we are writing, we tend to say men and women, not women first. I would suggest watching grammar and making the paragraph a little more neutral. In the sentence, "The women who do hold roles are usually put on the back-burner and kept behind the scenes", I would try to make that sounds less opinionated by removing words like usually, back-burner, and behind the scenes. I would recommend that you say something like "Women who do hold these roles are not given the credit or something like that. I would try backing up that statement with a citation, to show proof. Overall, great job!! RaeBruce (talk) 23:58, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vonney25 Peer Review

Hello Vonney25, your addition to Wikipedia is fresh with a lot of potential. I am intrigued that you would like to shed light on gender equality regarding sports. I as the reader understand that women have been overlooked in sports, but I am confused on why this is true. I as the reader yearns for some data showing proof that women are often overlooked in regards to sports. Perhaps the comparison of television ratings between the WNBA and NBA. Good job!ElgeStevens (talk) 02:16, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Latrice Tate Peer Review

This is a very interesting and controversial topic, I enjoyed reading about it. The wording of your writing is slightly confusing, proofreading would help with this. Also, try to make your contribution more neutral. Instead of saying women were "put on the back-burner," find a more non biased way of getting your opinion across.Latriceetheresa (talk) 04:43, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is definitely a good introduction to your topic. It is very evident that you are interested in your topic, but I do question how true It actually is. Personally I see plenty of women prevalent in sports that males also par take in. They have women's basketball just like they have men's basketball (women's is just slight less exciting). They even have women's football (just half naked when they play) So maybe establish a different angle. Not to say they are out on the back burner but to say that people take less interest into those things because of whatever reason you can find. Also maybe make the paragraph more neutral. There are some biased undertones. But overall, this has major potential. Teresachiyannebeamon (talk) 18:48, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
