School year 2016/17 is ending
185.73.237.229 (talk) has given you a sunflower plant! Sunflowers are given in recognition of valuable contributions to the MediaWiki codebase. These plants are easy to grow, requiring only full sun and moist, well-drained, mulchy soil, and can be processed into delicious sunbutter! If you forget an important anniversary or birthday, your sunflower can also be hastily plucked and presented as a thoughtful gift. If you run out of food for your pet parrot and don't feel like going to the store, your sunflower's seeds will surely come in handy. If, on the other hand, you presently lack a pet bird, no doubt the seeds can help you lure one onto your property. Possessing extensive root systems, sunflowers are able to reach deep into sources of polluted water and extract large amounts of toxic metals, including uranium; the roots of floating rafts of sunflowers were able to extract 95% of the radioactivity in the water following the Chernobyl disaster. Truly it is the plant of 1,000 uses. Little wonder, then, that enclosed in double brackets, it becomes the symbol for the software on which runs our wiki of belovedly versatile usefulness.
If you have a old discussions, please archive because your talk it's too long and should be cleaned up for next discussions. Thanks and make better contributions. 185.73.237.229 (talk) 14:00, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Please help me with translating the pages from another language to English. I'm afraid because may be deleted.
Vladimirrizov20my talk 18:00, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
- Then my advice is to use the Article Wizard to create a draft and to submit it for a review by an experienced editor. You should also be aware of the copyright issues involved in translation: If you translate text under a CC BY-SA license (like foreign-language Wikipedia content), for example, you will need to provide the required attribution. You can use the {{Translated page}} template on the draft's talk page to do that. The editing community on the English Wikipedia has held that a mere machine translation (say, Google Translate or something like that) is of no benefit to our readers; thus you should be able to understand the source language (and English) well enough to do better than that. Another issue may be that sometimes the standards of foreign-language Wikipedias differ from the English Wikipedia's, so a page that's acceptable in, say, Greek or Latin or Hindi may be found inappropriate on the English Wikipedia. In particular, many foreign-language articles may be short on references; you should make sure that that's not an issue and that the topic meets the English Wikipedia's notability standards.
- Other than that I can't think of any immediate issues that might cause a translated page to be deleted. Huon (talk) 19:39, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
