AfD de_chateau
[edit]Just wanted to let you know that one of our CS maps is up for deletion. I'm not sure why they're picking on this one, but here's the link Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/De_chateau David Bergan 16:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Alex Higgins
[edit]Hi, do you know anything about snooker? From your comments, it would appear not. Plesae inform me if I am wrong about this.
I can't see how anyone with a knowledge of that sport would fault the content of that paragraph. You are, IMHO, incredibly pedantic with your comments but I have to assume that it's your lack of knowledge of snooker that is to blame.
I can't recall the hundreds on times I have hears that particular break described on television, and in the writen media, by world champions like Dennis Taylor (who is mentioned in the article if you look again) as incredible. It was his words that I used to create the sentence about the pot on the blue ball. I also added the video link to the BBC website that shows theat particular frame.
To use a comparison you may understand, Higgins was the "Bobby Fischer" (who thrashed Spassky) of snooker, a wild man who caused trouble but raised snooker to new levels of popularity and was unequestionably one of the most talented players ever.
Do you want me to list my qualifications and experience in snooker over 25 years that enable me, and many others, to have made these comments about Higgins? You may see that I've helped impriove that page, even if it need further work.
I intend reverting your ill-informed edit or will take it up as a dispute bigpad 18:47, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
