deletion of Local Food Plus info
[edit]Hello Tnxman307 --
I see you've deleted the post I was working on (Local Food Plus). I'm wondering how best to post information on this organization? I am doing some work for the organization (disclosure: potential Conflict of Interest). They are a notable organization with independent reliable sources (these are the ones I'm trying to include) and don't currently have an article.
I've recreated it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Vj_stokes.
Might you be able to offer any more detailed feedback about how to get this information included?.. People are hungry for it (sic),
Appreciatively yours,

ThXMan!
I did a little more reading (thanks for the links) and feel that Local Food Plus is a notable enough organization, in a globally important and growing (sic) field, that it would be great if people could learn a bit about it in wikipedia. Perhaps best to start with a stub?
This is what I've drafted:
Local Food Plus (LFP) is a Canadian non-profit organization that brings farmers and consumers
together to build regional food economies. LFP certifies farmers and processors in Ontario,
Atlantic Canada, British Colombia and the Canadian Prairies who use sustainable practices, and
helps connect farmers and buyers, in part through a “Buy to Vote” campaign, built on the notion of voting with one’s dollars.
you think it suitable? please let me know.
Appreciatively yours,

- It would require significant coverage in independent, reliable sources. Please see user:chzz/vrs. In addition, please read the business FAQ. If you can find appropriate reliable sources, please create a userspace draft, and ask someone to review it. Chzz ► 20:32, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Please review
[edit]Greetings Editors,
(appologies if this is in the wrong place and/or posted twice.) I have create a userpage draft of a new entry Local Food Plus: at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Vj_stokes/Local_Food_Plus
Could someone please review this page and let me know if it suits?
COI disclosure: I am a freelance writer and editor. Local Food Plus is one of my clients. They have asked me to create this for them. I am interested in this area (sustainable food policy/action), and feel it appropriate for LFP to have an entry here.
Thanks so much. Please advise,

- Hi, you might want to ask here. It is specially for new article reviews. You'll probably get a better and quicker review if you post it there. Thanks. Chevymontecarlo. 14:55, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Talk:Vj stokes/Local Food Plus
[edit]Hi, I tagged the page Talk:Vj stokes/Local Food Plus you created for deletion, because page with that title would be a talk page of an article called “Vj stokes/Local Food Plus”. Who did you want to contact with that message? You should post it on his talk page. Svick (talk) 17:54, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
Feedback archived
[edit]Hi there.
A while ago, you requested feedback in WP:FEED. Because it has been a while, and you'd received at least some response there, I have now archived the replies in Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive/26. Please do not edit that page though; if you require further feedback, add a new request on WP:FEED.
I am trying to clear the backlogs; it would help us a lot if you could look at the requests from other users on WP:FEED and add any comments to help them out. Anyone can respond there, so please do take a look, and comment on the articles from other people.
If you want help with anything at all, you could either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end;
OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Best, Chzz ► 04:07, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
Can you please remove some of the tags?
[edit](moved here from Talk:Local Food Plus; best to deal with {{helpme}} on your own talk page Chzz ► 14:44, 21 June 2010 (UTC))
Hi,
- This article is no longer an orphan (it contains both links 'out' and links 'in')
- The references are all in order (see the short 'References section', created by referring directly to wikipedia's citation instructions); this article isn't long enough to include inline citations, and
- The question of my connection to the source has been dealt with.
Can you please remove some or all of these tags?
Vj stokes (talk) 14:37, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ref. Local Food Plus
- Actually, you're more than welcome to remove tags yourself when things are fixed up. It's the bit at the start;
{{nofootnotes|date=May 2010}} {{orphan|date=May 2010}} {{COI|date=May 2010}}
- But anyway;
- Yep, it's no longer an orphan; I'll remove that
- No, it still lacks inline citations - we'd like to see which facts are from which sources. Help with that below.
- COI - well, at the moment, it's still promotional, viz. who use sustainable practices, and helps connect farmers and buyers - so I think that tag is still appropriate, for now. If you can make it neutral, based only on facts from independent, reliable sources using inline cites, then that could go too.
How references work |
---|
Simple references[edit]These require two parts;
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
== References == {{reflist}} (an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections) To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Vj stokes/reftest and try it out. Named references[edit]Chzz was born in 1837, <ref name="MyBook"> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> in Footown.<ref name="MyBook"/> Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result. Citation templates[edit]You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look; Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref> Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result. For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs. |
