CIVILITY
[edit]When once the forms of civility are violated, there remains little hope of return to kindness or decency. As citizens we have to be more thoughtful and more educated and more informed. Civility costs nothing, and buys everything. Civility means a great deal more than just being nice to one another. It is complex and encompasses learning how to connect successfully and live well with others, developing thoughtfulness, and fostering effective self-expression and communication. Civility includes courtesy, politeness, mutual respect, fairness, good manners, as well as a matter of good health. We have a choice about how we behave, and that means we have the choice to opt for civility and grace. Be civil to all, sociable to many, familiar with few, friend to one, enemy to none. I turn on the TV and I see these grown people screaming at each other, and I think, well, if we don't get our civility back we're in trouble. I don’t believe in confrontation. That seems to me outside civil discourse and we all have to find way to be civil to one another. Play fair. Don't hit people. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. --Clover (Level → lel →lvl →/v/) (talk) 05:20, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
