Welcome!

Hello, Visnusen, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Doichistan, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! bonadea contributions talk 21:44, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Doichistan, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. bonadea contributions talk 21:44, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Pangaea, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  BC  talk to me 20:44, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Death Trap (book)‎ has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Soetermans. Slow down

[edit]

Hi Visnusen,

Please, slow down. You've been editing since 9 Februari this year, and a lot of your edits leave something to be desired. Have you checked out the guide lines yet? If you like Wikipedia and want to help I'm afraid you'll have to take it a little more slow. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Happy editing and kind regards, --Soetermans. KoL photos

[edit]

Concerning the Kings of Leon photos, could you please check twice before editing? On the band's own article and on Jared Followill you changed the captions incorrectly. --Soetermans. T / C 23:41, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please check twice before adding entries

[edit]

Concerning 1890, Eisenhower is already mentioned. These kind of edits is what I mean, SLOW DOWN and take a step back. --Soetermans. T / C 10:39, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have some concerns about this article that you created. McFearless is an album track and never received an official release as a single. You say on the Because of the Times article that McFearless was released on the 10th of December, and (on the single article) that it reached number 1 on the RIANZ charts. Looking through the RIANZ singles chart archives around that date, there doesn't seem to be any mention of it. Indeed, a site specific Google search suggests that it is not anywhere on that site (compare with the results for the single "Sex on Fire").

Could it be that you're mistaken? Catfish Jim & the soapdish 10:57, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as McFearless (single), to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Güyük Khan. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 19:29, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Matt Schultz, you may be blocked from editing. Catfish Jim & the soapdish 20:39, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of McFearless (single) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article McFearless (single) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/McFearless (single) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Catfish Jim & the soapdish 10:02, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, I noticed you've taken no action whatsoever to defend your article. Can you provide any evidence that this single exists? If I'm mistaken and this song did indeed make it to number one on the New Zealand charts, can you tell me when this was? Thanks, Catfish Jim & the soapdish 12:56, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Restless Spirits (show), a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.  BC  talk to me 18:46, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Informational note: this is to let you know that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Regards, --Soetermans. T / C 20:16, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chad Hugo

[edit]

Wikipedia uses the artists' name, not birthnames. So don't move Chad Hugo to C.E. Hugo. Again, please - READ THE GUIDE LINES. --Soetermans. T / C 20:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change correct death dates to incorrect ones, as you did at Patrick Bouvier Kennedy. - Nunh-huh 05:34, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Covers by Atlantis - EP requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. tedder (talk) 10:39, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pickup Truck (single) listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Pickup Truck (single). Since you had some involvement with the Pickup Truck (single) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Peter E. Problems with upload of File:Untitled54.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Untitled54.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:05, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia.

I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline . If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. Thank you. CutOffTies (talk) 01:54, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Untitled54.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Untitled54.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of User:Visnusen

[edit]

User:Visnusen, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Visnusen and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Visnusen during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. CutOffTies (talk) 00:30, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011

[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive. Your recent vandalism, as you did to Castillo de San Marcos, will not be tolerated. Although vandalizing articles on occasions that are days or weeks apart from each other sometimes prevents editors from being blocked, your continued vandalism constitutes a long term pattern of abuse. The next time you vandalize a page, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia without further notice. CutOffTies (talk) 23:53, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for not participating in discussions or responding to issues, combined with a pattern of disruptive editing. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. tedder (talk) 23:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Note this block is indefinite, which is not the same as "forever". Acknowledge you understand what behavior is disruptive and you may be unblocked. Certainly not all your edits are vandalism, but using Wikipedia as a social network, vandalizing pages, and creating bogus articles is unacceptable. tedder (talk) 23:59, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
