September 2016

[edit]

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Ananias Shikongo. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Deletion discussion about De-bushing Advisory Service Namibia

[edit]

Hello, Vision2030,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether De-bushing Advisory Service Namibia should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/De-bushing Advisory Service Namibia .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Ways to improve Bush encroachment in Namibia

[edit]

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Vision2030, thanks for creating Bush encroachment in Namibia!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. {{{3}}}

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Did you receive my previous message?

[edit]

I think a software glitch caused the loss of content in my previous message on ways to improve Bush encroachment in Namibia. All that displays on this talk page is "{{{3}}}". Yet, I prepared detailed suggestions and sent you a number of references I suggested you include. This has only happened to me once before, and on that occasion my message did appear in the users own message notification window. Could you check and let me know if you received anything more detailed from me? If there's a software problem we need to get it fixed. In essence, I'm keen to help you get your article better. It needs more references which are definitly out there, and I also think you should merge key content from De-bushing Advisory Service Namibia into this article. If I can help further- do let me know. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 23:03, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Nick. Many thanks for your great help. Merging the two pages is a good solution. I have unfortunately not received your detailled suggestions. However, I will be able to add more references and information over time, so don't worry to resend. There is lots of information on the topic out there, I just need to find time to gather the relevant information. Greetings from Namibia.
