        • Many thanks for the alternative hooks theleekycauldron. The reference to goats is also good. I still like the initial hook, due to its relevance for the global climate change mitigation agenda. But maybe someone else can weigh in/decide here? Sekundemal (talk) 19:20, 28 December 2021 (UTC)
          • Well, Sekundemal, I'll put up a notice at WT:DYK, asking for some eyeballs. What I will say is that highlighting the most important thing about an article upfront isn't necessarily what informs people the most. You may want to try "teaching by stealth"—if 8,000 people click through to the article, and half of them now read in-detail about this interesting climate change phenomenon, you've informed more people than if 2,000 people click through because it looks important. Reel them in with something fun, then let the article go in-detail about what's important. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 20:58, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

  • ALT3 ... that woody plant encroachment can harm the habitats of the cheetah (cub pictured), plains zebra and secretary bird? (Sources are in the Biodiversity section of the article. Any of those animals would provide a good picture, and no doubt we can find a free pic and include it in the article. The above pic of the woody plant encroachment is interesting in the article, but it's not as hooky as e.g. a cheetah.) Storye book (talk)
