DJ Troopers Hardware

TfD nomination of Template:Non-free-NASA
[edit]Template:Non-free-NASA has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --TheDJ (talk • contribs) 21:36, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Template:Affero
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:Affero requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 03:06, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

March 2008
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edit(s) to Dance Dance Revolution articles, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you.
Viper, I know you mean well. But a lot of the edits you've been making to the DDR series of articles is making things worse than they already are. Misspellings, bad sentence structures, deleting references, breaking linked references, stubbing articles by deleting whole paragraphs, etc... I agree that there's lots of work to be done but this is not a good way to go about that work. You really do need to double-check your edits cause even if they were in the best interest of the articles, you're making a lot of mistakes.
The number one thing that the individual game articles need right now is expansion and formatting. FireBlaster is in the process of creating the Konami music game task force page, so the best thing to do right now would be to communicate with him and other members of the task force to see what needs to be done. I have a self-maintained project page for the DDR articles which I will keep updating as I and others improve and maintain them. Go there now and look at the list of things to be done and see if you can find something that you can contribute to. If you want, join our new task force so we can all be on the same page. I really want to work with you, since you one of a very small group of people even interested in fixing these articles. Hope you feel the same way to. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 21:01, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Moving the Confederate map to the Commons
[edit]Hi ViperSnake,
I am currently working on a request for the Graphic Lab to provide an .svg version of this map. I uploaded a version to Commons, and then discovered the one you had uploaded in 2007.
If you're OK with it, I'd like to delete your file and allow the Commons version to be available for use here on en. I could mark the image to be deleted, but it would be much faster if you did it, and I wanted to make sure this was all OK with you.
NB: The image you based your .svg off of is no longer there. They are using this Csa5-3 image now. Also, our maps are not identical, the main difference being in the Arizona Territory.
If you're cool with deleting your image, it looks like you should just add the {{subst:ncd}} template and it'll get deleted. Or I suppose you could do it yourself, if you're an admin. :-)
Thanks for taking the time to look at this.— ʞɔıu 03:04, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I've declined your speedy deletion request for this template (placed on its talk page since the template is protected). My reasoning is that the speedy request is not valid for a template that has undergone multiple TfD debates in the past. I can't disagree that a Template for Deletion debate may be warranted, and you seem to have a strong rationale for deletion, but Speedy Deletion is not the appropriate process in this case. Thanks, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 19:15, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
List of songs in Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova 2
[edit]You didn't break this off the main article, but it looks as though your the only one who cares to maintain it. I'm merging it with the main article again. Articles that are nothing but lists of DDR songs have been deleted over and over again and this is the only one that has its own article right now, no point in breaking flow. Just letting you know ahead of time. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 20:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I noticed the guitar hero articles, but they actually have substance to them. Whenever a DDR soundtrack is turned into an article it can't ever hold its own all by itself. Personally, there is not so much information directly linked to the music that it needs another article. Even if song lists were allowed, I would vote against them in DDR's case. I'll make the move, thank you for getting back with me. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 20:30, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
KMVG Wiki
[edit]Hi, just wanted to let you know that there's a new Wiki dedicated to Bemani and other Konami music video games over at http://bemani.wikia.com/ if you were interested. Image:VLC Vista.png
[edit]I request that the deletion be overturned. I had no chance to make a defense statement. I argue De minimis. According to you, we should just delete every single image on Wikipedia that has a Microsoft or Apple GUI in it. What has this place become? --TV-VCR watch 16:32, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Who is "we"? I guess you are Wikipedia's spokesperson? And even though there are hundreds of screenshots on Wikipedia with the Vista GUI, you let them fly? (Example: [1])
Well if that won't do, how about it with a custom skin that doesn't show the Vista GUI at all? [2] --TV-VCR watch 17:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Yes, that theme is freely licensed. --TV-VCR watch 17:52, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Zune
[edit]Actually, SteveSims added the non-free tag [3] and when I came along, I didn't read it clearly enough and assumed it was the Zune player, which is a copyrighted program. You've corrected the error SteveSims and I made, sorry about the confusion. MBisanz talk 22:48, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
ED deletion review
[edit]The previous review stated that more sources would be required than were available in the draft used at the time. My version of the draft is based on User:Shii's and I've reworded it so as to make it more in line with the sources, but I haven't added any additional sources yet. I doubt that this review will go through because of a lack of new sources, but I guess it's worth a shot.--Urban Rose 22:42, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Can I interest you in a comprehensive revision of Template:current sport
[edit]I would wish for all of the sub-templates of current sport to be absorbed into it, through a comprehensive revision of the main template. Do you have the technical facility to make the following template functionalities to work within {{current sport}}? I think the diffeence between sport-related and sport-related2 is nil and needless. {{Current}}'s construction and action may offer some guidance.
- Template:Current sport
- Template:Current sport section
- Template:Current sport-related
- Template:Current sport-related2

Yellow triangle
[edit]Hi ViperSnake151. I found a use for your "Image:Ambox warning yellow.svg" but unfortunately it has been deleted. Could you upload it to commons again? That is, the yellow version. I would like to use it in the example here: Template:Imbox#Special. Since the NASA images only have some problems in some specific cases, so an orange or red triangle is too much I think. The example there is a mini version of {{PD-USGov-NASA}}.

Licensing logos Dutch Public Broadcaster
[edit]I see you changed the licensing on the logos of the TV channels of the Dutch Public Broadcaster NPO. You stated that the images are ineligible for copyright, are you sure this is correct? I don't want to re upload the images because they got deleted on wrong licensing. It aren't just images of the numbers 1, 2 and 3 but logos of TV channels, comparable to BBC One logo.svg and that logo isn't ineligible for copyright. I think the Netherlands Public Broadcasting organisation is the copyright holder of the logos. Could you explain why you think the licence needed to be changed or change the licensing back? Apple keyboard image
[edit]I would have released it under GNU, only the original author said 'You may do anything with this image except claim it as yours'. As the first line of the GNU licence says 'I, the copyright holder… etc.' I wasn't sure of what to do. Any ideas? Stephen Shaw (talk) 09:19, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Not-censored
[edit]You're right, it is designed for article pages, as such I've gone ahead and nominated it for deletion. My bad; it's function is for talk pages, even if it's not. WilyD 17:22, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Unconfirmed song in DDR
[edit]Nothing is confirmed until Konami comes out and says so. So far the only evidence is songs happened to have been seen in the preview images. These are not confirmed sources either as songs have been known to disappear before launch. As said in the paragraph under development there are songs seen in the previews but calling them confirmed is not accurate, and I don't think a song list of three or four songs really helps the articles either... --AeronPrometheus (talk) 21:00, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
RE:AfD nomination of He Mele No Lilo
[edit]Hi
I created this article for following reasons.
This song is written completely in Hawaiian language, which is an indigenous language. The song is composed in typical Hawaiian folk music. As far as I know, this is the only Hawaiian language song ever presented in any mainstream Hollywood movie. This may be the 1st song Disney has presented in their movie which is not written in English. People with interest in Hawaiian culture my find this song significant.
Although this song may not be notable, it is distinguished, hence it deserves a separate article.
if you have any more questons, Pls feel free to ask
