Notability of Aziz Valiev
[edit]A tag has been placed on Aziz Valiev requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Billscottbob (talk) 22:24, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Removal of speedy delete tag
[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Aziz Valiev. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. • Gene93k (talk) 02:28, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Commentary in article Aziz Valiev
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Aziz Valiev. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article.
Also, be sure to sign your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~) – this will automatically produce a signature so other contributors can identify multiple posts from you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page! And again, thanks for your help! • Gene93k (talk) 02:05, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Aziz Valiev - Notability
[edit]The Aziz Valiev article does not state why this person is notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The article does not cite reliable published sources about him and none are found in a search. Please cite references. • Gene93k (talk) 02:40, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I have replaced the speedy deletion tag on the article you created, Aziz Valiev. This is because the topic is not notable enough to be on Wikipedia. If you can improve it to assert notability, then I will withdraw the tag. If you wish to contest the deletion of Aziz Valiev, please place {{hangon}} on the article page. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. Thanks. Billscottbob (talk) 03:31, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
