Hi, thanks for reaching out! Have you checked out the tips at Help:Your first article? What issues are you running into?
I'd definitely suggest starting with a draft, using the "Articles for Creation" process described on that help page. It's often the case that there aren't enough newspaper/magazine articles published about a person that would support a whole article, but it doesn't hurt to try drafting something.
You may also find that it makes sense to incorporate some details about the person's work into a different article on a broader topic. For example, this section is pretty short and could use more information in general: Disability in Australia#Advocacy.
