Feedback on your work!
[edit]Hi, Vincent-Jay-Matwawana! I told your professor I'd give a bit of feedback on each of your sandboxes, so please see my comments below:
- Wikilinks: good job adding some into the article! As a general rule, you only need to link to another article the first time you mention it. So, for example, you can remove the other links to Tonton Macoute. Also, you want the links to go to the most relevant article (preferably with the same terminology of the article's title, though perhaps to a subsection). So you'll want to link coup d'état to the correct article rather than to Haiti. You may also want to add more wikilinks throughout, if you see other spots where an unfamiliar reader may want to read for more information!
- References: do you have any online versions of your references that don't currently link anywhere? If not (like you found it in a printed book), that's ok. It is helpful for readers to be able to verify the source, though, when possible!
- You may want to break the 'final report' section into smaller subsections, in order to make the text more accessible and less daunting. In general, I like to re-read my paragraphs and try to make them as concise as possible, in order to focus on the facts rather than language. I know, it's a little different than a traditional essay. :)
- There are a few other formatting issues that really aren't a big deal—someone else can always come along who has a bit more experience with editing and wiki code. :)
Hope this helps! Please feel free to ping me on my talk page if you have any other questions. JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 22:03, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
