[edit]Hello, I'm Hotwiki. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of X-Men members, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hotwiki (talk) 23:03, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Hotwiki Thank you for informing but I couldn't find any secondary source that includes Primal's middle name (although it is present in X of Swords Handbook scan in talk page). So, I don't it is appropriate to add until there is source as per WP:RS in the future. Vinbrad (talk) 04:07, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Are you not related to @Teedbunny:, @Ringardiumleviossa: and @Sewnbegun:? For someone with 176 edits, your edits are fairly similar to those accounts that were blocked for sockpuppetry. If you continue to edit warring in that article, I will ask for another sockpuppetry investigation. Hotwiki (talk) 06:08, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Also may I add, you shouldn't remove or add content - if you've been already been reverted and was asked by another editor to give a reference, that we Wikipedia editors and readers can access to. We aren't gonna take your word, because you claimed you've read something in a comic book/Handbook - if the other people can't access those references in the article. The sockpuppetry history of that article is another reason why your edits are being questioned. Plenty of blocked editors got away with things that were posted in that article, by jumping through different accounts/ips. Hotwiki (talk) 06:15, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- You've mentioned the X of Swords Handbook scan in the talkpage, but I cannot find it. Could you please direct me to it? Hotwiki (talk) 06:23, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Hotwiki, I don't know who they are. Also, edit warring only happens when an editor reverts after more than three times or against clear consensus as per WP:EW so warring haven't happened yet. Regarding your inclusion of Wolf Cub, might I say we need references for information that are being added as per WP:RS and not vice-versa (removal of information). Also, I tend to focus on creating and expanding new pages of Marvel Comics and their related pages and nothing
andso hopefully that explains my edit count to youof Marvel Comics. I wanted to create a page on X-Men trainees but there is not any secondary sources for characters that were X-Men in training, but it is mentioned in primary sources which are handbooks. Thereby, I also came to know that Wolf Cub isn't mentioned as trainee in any of them. For your access, I can post links for those images from handbooks in which these trainees are present. Hope this helps!
Official Handbook of Marvel Universe A to Z Vol. 13 - [1], X-Men: Earth's Mutant Heroes (2010) - [2] and X of Swords Handbook - [3] Vinbrad (talk) 06:50, 17 September 2024 (UTC)- You might say you don't know they are, but your edits and Crampsteed's edits are very similar to those blocked accounts. Also, aside from List of X-Men members I've noticed you and Crampsteed have edited Immortal X-Men significantly. The article was created by Nekivik - who was the same person who created the accounts with the name of Teedbunny, Ringardiumleviossa and Sewnbegun. Hotwiki (talk) 07:45, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- I really don't know those people but I know the history of sockpuppetry from the talk pages. Also it's not the point @Hotwiki, the point was Wolf Cub's inclusion whose proof I have given to you. You are free to do sockpuppetry but that change the fact that Wolf Cub isn't X-Men trainee, don't have any secondary source to prove it and even mentioned as trainee in any of handbooks. Vinbrad (talk) 07:57, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Correction in the second line: ...that doesn't change the fact... Vinbrad (talk) 07:59, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- You've been informed about my suspicious. I will create a sockpuppetry investigation for you, @Crampsteed: and @Relyone:. If you aren't connected to the blocked editors I've mentioned (Nekivik, Teedbunnyz Ringardiumleviossa and Sewnbegun), then you have nothing to worry about. thanks for responding! Hotwiki (talk) 08:04, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Okay do it. Vinbrad (talk) 08:07, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Hotwiki, I dug in your contribution towards List of X-Men members, I came to find that you were the one who reconstructed that article on the basis of X of Swords Handbook in 2020. It's funny how you want Wolf Cub in the list because there is nosecondary source to provide that he was trainee and he isn't mentioned in that handbook itself from which you reconstructed the article. And in this discussion, you never have brought or replied to Wolf Cub's argument but rather you keep diverted it. Please remember, Wikipedia is not fancruftpedia. I have added primary sources instead in the trainee list, unless you have secondary source to replace, you can't remove them as per WP:USEPRIMARY and WP:RS, which can break the policy of Wikipedia. Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nekivik. Thank you.
