Yes, thank you, I will try my best to make Wikipedia better. Though, I am going to make only minor contributions to the English-language Wikipedia — adjusting interwiki links to the ukrainian-language articles.--VictorAnyakin 13:16, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unauthorised bot

[edit]

17:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Спасибо за предупреждение. --VictorAnyakin (talk) 08:38, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, because I do not speak what ever language you are talking (or typing rather) above, would you mind showing me where your bot approval request for this bot is? Thank you, Tiptoety talk 14:41, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Excuses for confusing you. Of course, here it is: Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/MrVanBot --VictorAnyakin (talk) 14:53, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. But may I ask why the bot is making contibutions when it has not yet been approved or even in the trial stages? Tiptoety talk 15:15, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have blocked your bot for the time being, as it appears to be making edits without ever being approved. Please go through the proper process before making your bot live. Tiptoety talk 15:26, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, after looking over your contribs it appears that your account is also a bot. May I ask where the approval request for this account is? Tiptoety talk 16:10, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
For your bot request for MrVanbot, it looks like you still need to transclude your request onto the bot requests for approval page. For instructions on how to do so, go to WP:RBA, number II, and then step 2. KnightLago (talk) 16:15, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Note that you really do need to go through this procedure. Also, you should make sure that the bot edits using its own account rather than your personal account. If you have questions or need help with the bot process here, just let me know. I'll be glad to help. — Carl (CBM · talk) 16:26, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks everybody, I will add a request as soon as blocking is expired and I'll be able to edit the page. --VictorAnyakin (talk) 07:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, your account has not been blocked, but instead your bot has. It will remain blocked until the bot gets approved. Tiptoety talk 23:08, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If the bot is blocked, how will it do 100 test edits? Is it possible to unlock the bot to pass the trial? Thank you. --VictorAnyakin (talk) 13:00, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I unblocked the bot; I had asked people not to block it, but they disagreed with me. Anyway, you can do the trial now. — Carl (CBM · talk) 13:19, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your bot removed a Swedish link...

[edit]

Please check if your bot did this change correctly. The Swedish article sv:Vinkelrät seems to be sub-stub, however it corresponds to our Right angle.
CiaPan (talk) 10:29, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello CiaPan, hopefully you are watching this page. Yes, I've ordered my bot to remove the link to Swedish Vinkelrät article since I've found that it links to Perpendicular and the Perpendicular links back to the Vinkelrät.--VictorAnyakin (talk) 13:32, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I checked some sv-wiki articles and found that you (and your bot) are right: vinkelrät is 'perpendicular', while rät vinkel (which redirects to vinkel) is a 'right angle'. --CiaPan (talk) 08:07, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for reviewing the changes. I am afraid that sometimes I might make a mistake and a third-party verification is always welcome!--VictorAnyakin (talk) 08:27, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
