User talk:VickyStarship
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, VickyStarship, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Starship Group, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The plain and simple conflict of interest guide
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Simplified Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! T3chl0v3r (talk) 12:24, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Starship Logo Black.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Starship Logo Black.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. TLSuda (talk) 19:39, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
COI
[edit]Please keep in mind https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_Interest. --Kitchen Knife (talk) 14:37, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hello! Are you sending me this because I need to take some action? I have read the COI article. I'm pretty sure that I haven't put anything into the Starship Group page that isn't supported by published articles. VickyStarship (talk) 15:04, 17 July 2014 (UTC)
- I thikn you need to make a formal declaration of your employment "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." Other than that the articles seem fine with one exception. "The studio was taken over by Infogrames in 1990." It DiD relation ship was with Ocean initially the Infogrames took over Ocean, but I'm not sure othe dates.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 00:37, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
- Put any decaleation in here User:VickyStarship. --Kitchen Knife (talk) 00:39, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

- This is how seriously come people take the declaration stuff. Hundreds of “black hat” English Wikipedia accounts blocked following investigation.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 16:18, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Have I done something wrong? I don't understand today's message. VickyStarship (talk) 16:26, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- No not at all. I just remember mentioning the deceleration stuff to you. It was just for you amusement nothing else. Relax.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 16:31, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Ha, phew! And good memory, btw! VickyStarship (talk) 16:32, 1 September 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:VTime Limited
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:VTime Limited, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Legacypac (talk) 03:42, 26 April 2018 (UTC)

Legacypac (talk) 14:38, 3 June 2018 (UTC)Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
