[edit]Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect intellectual property rights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view when editing articles - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account being blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!
I also noted you have created two categories, which may very well be problematic. The Criticism of atheism category is problematic because you included a number of articles that said nothing about atheism (i.e. the abortion and evolution related articles) or you included articles about atheism that didn't mention criticism. Please be more careful about what you include in categories. Since you are a new user, you may want to read up on WP:CAT before creating any more categories, so you can understand why and how we use categories here on wikipedia. The Books about Jesus category is problematic because it has a strong overlap with Category:Literary portrayals of Jesus, and includes a too broad spectrum of topics, from recent fiction, to historical religious texts, to scholarly work. As such I have proposed it for deletion.-Andrew c [talk] 15:41, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

CfD nomination of Category:Evolution controversies
[edit]Category:Evolution controversies, which you created, has been nominated for deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. – HrafnTalkStalk 11:15, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
I like this category Category:Evolution controversies because I see a lot of controversies concerning Evolution .Vestbors
- Per WP:ILIKEIT, "liking" it is not a valid rationale for retaining it. HrafnTalkStalk 16:40, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not on User talk:Hrafn. Thank you. HrafnTalkStalk 16:33, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Category:Evolution controversies, you will be blocked from editing. HrafnTalkStalk 16:37, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 16:42, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Category: Evolution
[edit]Please do not modify the existing Category:Evolution into Category:Evolution Controversies. It's one thing to add a category, another to remove a major one, as you have been doing. Please stop. Aunt Entropy (talk) 17:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Inappropriate Categorizations
[edit]Vesbors, I have had to undo several of your category additions as incorrect. "Philosophical and religious interpretations of the Big Bang theory" is not an "evolution controversy", "Christian atheists" is neither "criticism of atheism" nor "criticism of religion", "Atheism in Hinduism" is not a "criticism of atheism", and "Spiritual Atheism" is not a "criticism of atheism" either. I see that others have had to perform many similar edits. Please be more careful. --Robert Stevens (talk) 17:39, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Inappropriate Moves
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Religion in the Soviet Union, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
