Speedy deletion nomination of Raymond Goodwin
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Raymond Goodwin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Melaen (talk) 22:17, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

This is your last warning; the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Raymond Goodwin, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Removing Speedy at Raymond Goodwin
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Raymond Goodwin, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:24, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Raymond Goodwin. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:26, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Stephen Foster
[edit]Hi Vendettos I noticed your edits on the Stephen Foster page and thought they were really good. I changed them a little bit though to make them more in keeping with Wikipedia guidelines particularly using only information that could be found from an independent source. The source I used was the article on the BBC Sport website which actually confirmed much of what you wrote just in a slightly different way but the fact that the section is now referenced adds it a lot more legitimacy. The only thing I couldn't reference was the section in which you spoke about the ringside observers having the fight wider to Fegatelli than the judges. I know this is true as I was watching it on sky but as I couldn't source it from something on the web so I had to remove that section. I often find that the likes of the Manchester Evening News would have more sourceable information but it won't normally publish articles about the fights until after the weekend but the BBC normally has something up the next day. Hope this is helpful feedback, thanks for the edits Notjamesbond (talk) 13:25, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contribution to Floyd Mayweather Jr., but we are trying to write an encyclopedia here, so please keep your edits factual and neutral. Our readers are looking for serious articles and will not find joke edits amusing. Remember that Wikipedia is a widely-used reference tool, so we have to take what we do here seriously. If you'd like to experiment with editing, use the sandbox to get started. While boxing fans may find the mention of Mayweather's "loss" funny, it's not accurate. —C.Fred (talk) 04:10, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
