[edit]Disambiguation link notification for January 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Simone Rapisarda Casanova, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Campbell River. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

In the Garden of Forking Paths moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to In the Garden of Forking Paths. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. signed, Rosguill talk 20:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
- Please note that you are expected to respond to inquiries regarding potential conflicts of interest before making any further edits. Failure to do so will result in a loss of editing privileges. You can find our full conflict of interest guidelines at WP:COI. signed, Rosguill talk 14:11, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Rosguill, thank you for your intervention.
- What should I do about the potential COI? And - sorry to ask - what do you mean by "respond to inquiries"? Should I respond to you, or put a note in the talk page, or will I get a questionnaire? Could you please suggest a way of dealing with this? I've checked the COI guidelines but I couldn't really find what to do.
- Moreover: it's true that there is little secondary literature about the last released film by Simone Rapisarda Casanova (The article quoted in ref. 2 is by an independent reviewer, plus I found another one that I would add in the references, if I wasn't feeling threatened with "the loss of editing privileges" right now), but the author notability is quite well established, as shown by the sources quoted in the references in the article about him. So, I think that an article about his last released film is necessary.
- Thank your for your help! Ven1031 (talk) 15:28, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- The section WP:COIDISCLOSE of the COI guideline provides instructions for posting disclosure notices on your user talk page, and on the talk page of any affected article. It would also be helpful if you explained the nature of any COIs you may have with the subject here, and in particular whether you are financially compensated for any of your work in relation to Rapisarda Casanova.
- Regarding the notability of the film, note that WP:Notability is not inherited, and that the ref 2 coverage is rather minimal (it is not a full length review, but rather a brief, if positive, mention in the context of a review of a broader film festival where the film was screened; it's not useless per-se, but it's a long way from establishing notability on its own). But the primary issue here is your apparent COI. signed, Rosguill talk 15:42, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again, I put all the recommended COI banners on all the articles and on my talk page, and made a declaration about not being in any way paid for my WP contributions nor having any interest in promoting the works I've been writing about. Does it help?
- About notability: you decide! I tried to do my best, but I know sometimes it's not enough :D Ven1031 (talk) 18:50, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yep, thank you for complying so quickly. At this point you've already submitted the draft article to be reviewed, so a reviewer should take a look at it relatively soon. Currently it looks like the average wait time is < 4 weeks. signed, Rosguill talk 18:55, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
