Capitalization

Hi Vedanta5 -

First, welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you re-capitalized some of the non-proper nouns in the Drums article. I didn't mean to pester you by changing them to lower-case letters in the first place, but I did so in accordance with WP:JOBTITLES. The Wikipedia Manual of Style (WP:MOS) is the guide that dictates our writing style here on WP. It is a long document with lots of sections, but it is worth a read. The WP:JOBTITLES section is the part that mentions which jobs require capital letters.

If you notice that something has been changed in an article you're working on, just click on View History at the top right of the article and you can see an edit summary next to each edit. The edit summary explains what the editor changed on that particular edit - or why they changed it. In the edit summary where I changed several capitalized words, there's a link to WP:JOBTITLES which explains why I did that.

I just thought I'd send you a quick talk page message instead of immediately changing the words back to lower case, because changing things back and forth will just frustrate both of us - and it won't help to establish a consistent style for the encyclopedia. I'm looking forward to working with you to develop the article, especially the balance between historical and modern information on the community. Have a good day! Copy edit tag

Hi Vedanta5 -

Just a quick heads up that I placed the copy edit tag back in the Drums article. Basically, those tags allow experienced editors to come along and review the article's spelling, grammar and other features to make sure that they comply with WP:MOS, the set of guidelines that tell us how to write Wikipedia articles. Currently, there are problems with the use of bold and italics, and there are sections of text that don't have the tone of an encyclopedia. If you leave the tag in place, someone can come along and clean that up. I've tried in the past, but we basically ended up back at square one, so it's best to let someone else try. Thanks.
