Yui Horie article
[edit]Thanks for adding the discography for Yui Horie. I've swept through her albums and singles and put it in a format (along with the references) that's close to what was used for Kumi Koda discography. I didn't realize she's charted that much on Oricon, but I guess she has! Her main article should be referenced more, but the article is getting better and closer to reaching B-class and perhaps GA status. -AngusWOOF (talk) 16:25, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- No problem mate. And you've done a great job adding to the page and leading the overhaul! Her wiki is finally starting to look respectable now.
- I agree on the format changes to singles and album. The Oricon chart info looks much better now and yeah I was suprised at her album chart performance haha. Although, I will remove "Label" and "Format" from each entry and make a single sentence preceding the table once I find the references for the album digital reissues. Will look neater and more streamlined I feel.
- Are you able to find chart info on Billboard? I'm having a hard time finding any data.
- Also in terms of biography overhaul, what kind of format should we go for an artist of modest level? --Vapes (talk) 08:23, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's fine to remove format and label since she hasn't really jumped labels, just Pony Canyon to Star Child on her very first two singles, but has been Star Child ever since. Regarding her biography, I think it can follow a music artist in format, where each paragraph or section can cover an album and it can also describe her major anime voice work and theme songs during that time. It can also be split up if the music and voice acting sections as with Aki Toyosaki if it gets too confusing. -AngusWOOF (talk) 16:43, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- I suppose she has enough albums, lead roles, concerts and international appearances to do timeline, as you proposed. And we could have a section on Early Career, with her being inspired by Dirty Pair, attending voice acting college and winning a seiyuu competition. Perhaps also Personal Ventures (?), like some of the advertising and promo work she does, her creation of Miss Monochrome and directing the concerts (dunno how true that is). Just need to find the references for all of that. How about a photo? Can we use a low res fair use photo? Or should we hold out an get a quality but licensed photo?
- Guess theres still plenty to do! But info on her is also quite limited. So I doubt it will take long. --Vapes (talk) 21:51, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- At the basics, the existing biography should be sourced. It kind of covers her music and early anime major works. The newer albums can be added as there should be plenty of articles to describe her activities outside of just her fan site. -AngusWOOF (talk) 22:00, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- You can ask Prosperosity, who has access to Oricon database discography stuff. -AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:38, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
