Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Vanguard826, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Request reason:

My residence hall's wifi network (Blackwell Hall at UC Berkeley) and IP are blocked from allowing users to edit Wikipedia. As such, I have been blocked from completing WikiEdu assignments required for one of my courses. I have never edited Wikipedia before, and I have had to circumvent the block by working from coffee shops or on my roommate's hotspot. This block has made completion of the course extremely difficult, and the block should be removed accordingly since it affects users who have not violated Wikipedia's editing criteria. Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 21:46, 8 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
