PLEASE STOP IT!

[edit]

Please stop what you're trying to do in the Christian Death article. For the last couple days, I and several other editors have been working hard on this article, including making improvements to YOUR submission! Your edits are contributing nothing -- in fact, you are RE-INSERTING grammar, spelling, formatting, style and other errors BACK INTO the article! This situation has been reported, so PLEASE stop!98.220.43.195 (talk) 01:45, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out grammar and spelling errors, point taken!! However, Kand is not Valor's last name so please omit this from your edits. Futhermore, Including the band you refer to as Christian Death1334 is trademark infringement. On their own sites they refer to themselves as CD 1334 ( formerly of Christian Death ) this is acceptable. To avoid confusing people any futher with this notion of 2 Christian Death is not fair to anyone.

Thank you in advance for getting the facts straight and presenting the proper legal describtion.

I am confused. Isn't the name Valor Kand, therefore making the last name Kand? I have also seen the son, Sevan, listed as Sevan Kand. If Kand is not the last name, then what does "Kand" mean? Please elaborate, because I want to get this right, stylistically, in the article. 98.220.43.195 (talk) 02:22, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HI, If you are one of the Wikipedia volunteers or just someone who wants everything in the proper order, then please accept my appologies. Officially Valor has never been known as anything other than Valor, although other artist's such as Sade, Tricky, Seal or Sting etc., may have revealed their legal names, Valor has not. Only in rumour is it assumed the Valor and Sevan Kand have the same last name, which they do not!

In repect of accuracy, please do not over look the fact that the Black Death was NOT in 1334. It was 1347-1350

I want to present a fair, honest and unbiased represeantation of the facts. I am willing to accept all edits based on FACTS. If you can point out specific facts which you feel are biased or untrue, then please point then out!!

I have ammended the black death reference. It had different starting periods in different places in the world, and according to the Wikipedia article, it had its first outbreaks in areas of China in 1334. 98.220.43.195 (talk) 03:11, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I want to point out that I, too, want a fair and unbiased article. There are those who edit this article who are pro-Rozz, and others who are pro-Valor, and thus slant the article in ways to fit their biases. Although I tend to lean toward the Only Theatre of Pain, Catastrophe Ballet and Ashes period of Christian Death, I am one of the few people who admits to both being a fan of much of the music of post-Rozz Christian Death, led by Valor, but also of the "resurrected" Christian Death featuring Rozz Williams. The only reason, a few days ago, that I reverted your contributions outright was because of the numerous spelling, grammar, style, punctuation and formatting errors. It was pointed out to me, and I agreed, that a better approach was to work within your edits to make improvements, rather than just reverting your contributions. I agreed, and I along with several other editors have been working very hard to make this a good article. It's probably a long way from finished, and no matter what happens not everyone will be satisfied, and we will have to guard against those who would slant the article in an untruthful way in anyone's favor. As a Christian Death fan who recently mourned the 10th anniversary of Rozz's suicide, I just wish, for the sake of everyone's happiness and out of respect for the dead, that everyone would just get over their hatred and get on with life. Maybe someday? 98.220.43.195 (talk) 03:23, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here Here atlast! unbiased honesty!!! However, please note: that in the second to last sentance there is a statement that "Valor, posing as the Christian Death Society attempted to remove youtube videos" This is simply NOT true and is written with a negative slant. If we are attempting to have a non biased result, negative conotations, based on heresay should be omited!

Duly noted. Keep in mind that I did not write the CD 1334 section -- in fact, I have written nothing in this article, and I'm merely editing it. It does have a long way to go, as I said, and edits will undoubtedly continue. 98.220.43.195 (talk) 05:15, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Valorkaend. I have been watching this situation a bit and am pleased to see that you have been having constructive conversations with 98. My personal advice, that I am repeating her and elsewhere, is that the article should be entirely referenced reliable third party sources (newspaper and magazine articles, books etc), so that references are added every single statement in the article and the rest deleted. I know that User:J Readings has offered to help in this. This way 'rumours' and other Original research can be cleaned out, and the encyclopedia entry fair and balanced according to the sources that are out there. For example, the Black Death and youtube video thing would, I bet, either be easily sourced or not in the article.
Oh, yes, and when commenting on talkpages, also finish your posts with four tildes ~~~~ (or you can use "sign your name" below the editing box or the blue button that looks like this part of someone's signature above the editing box. That way we know who has said what and when! --Slp1 (talk) 13:28, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
