Adding reference to Wikipedia articles

[edit]
Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Valleyspring, I am Mrt3366! I saw that you created article Bruno Weber (Mediziner). Nice but you need to add more references from reliable sources to back any content you add to Wikipedia (Note: the books listed under "references" section might qualify as reliable sources). This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. In the edit box, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 10:41, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Luise Brunner

[edit]

Hello Valleyspring,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Luise Brunner for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Obscure Nazi names added to wikipedia. Hi, editors. I am reposting this for several articles that have been contested which I have started. The reason is that I only do this in my spare time, and often I cannot find good information on wikipedia, except that which I discover on polish wikipedia or German wikipedia. If you would prefer to make a 'redirect' to those pages, that is acceptable. The only reason that I make these pages is in the hope that someone else with more info will also post a reference. These are all obscure names, yet they all played an impt role in the Holocaust.

kind of. if you are using the exact same source, page etc, the {{reflist}} should collect them all together. if not, cite the ref as <ref name = title> full citation </ref> . from then on, you can type <ref name =title/> and it should repeat the reference automatically. ...if not, im sure "ibid" should be fine. good luck Ryan shell (talk) 15:42, 25 December 2012 (UTC)  [reply]

Wikipedia articles are not reliable sources for any purpose

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you are using Wikipedia pages as references in articles, such as Ebensee concentration camp. Wikipedia articles can never be a Wikipedia reliable source. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Karin Magnussen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of En.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz Ritterbusch

[edit]

Hello Valleyspring,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged En.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz Ritterbusch for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, - ʈucoxn\talk 07:39, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Fritz Ritterbusch has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't find enough sources online to prove he passes WP:BASIC.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 08:19, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
