You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for running unapproved bot scripts.
Under the bot policy, all automated scripts must be approved by the Bot Approvals Group to ensure that they perform safe and useful functions without stressing system resources.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:55, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello, I’m Rodrigo Valequez (the operator of the bot). I’d like to say that the unconstructive edits performed by this bot happened while I was testing if the bot runned as it should (on the bot accounts own talk page). Wikipedia:Teahouse was on another tab and the bot somehow opened it. My understanding is that the bots clicking system (which is supposed to target “edit source” when it detects a typo) somehow opened the tab. During the test, the bot wasn’t correcting the typos at first so I tried to change the coding. I also tried to make it clear that the bot was supposed to correct “helo” into “hello”. When the bot changed the tab, it started to change every single word into “hello”. I was able to stop it by trying to delete it’s code (I tried to cancel the program but it didn’t work) which resulted in my computer crashing. When I finally managed to open my computer, the bot had recieved multiple warnings. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by my bot. ValequezBot (talk) 21:29, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are not allowed to run any bot on any page without the prior approval of the Bot Approvals Group. As ToBeFree suggests below, you should get approval for running your bot from them first, and then unblocking this bot account should be just a formality. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You can see part of my test at the very top of the page. The bot corrected “helo” into “hell” which wasn’t what it was supposed to do. ValequezBot (talk) 21:32, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rodrigo Valequez, you are not blocked as a person. The "autoblock" feature is disabled and the block applies solely to the bot account. The block is also not meant to be a punishment at all, just to prevent further edits from this account unless a good proposal is made at WP:BRFA. If that's okay with you, you may want to wait with an unblock request until there is actually a need to run the bot. It would then probably quickly be unblocked. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:42, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I get that the block isn’t meant to be a punishment. Could I create a new bot account?Rodrigo Valequez(🗣) 05:30, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, go get approval from the Bot Approvals Group first, then this one can be unblocked. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:00, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have a feeling the block currently actually prevents further similar experiments. 😉 ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:55, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That thought had crossed my mind too. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:20, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The code was deleted from my computer when it crashed. ValequezBot (talk) 09:46, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
