Your username
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Valentine Westing", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to represent a company or organization. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 18:39, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, User:Rubbish computer (Oh god there is a lot of code in here and I have no idea if this is actually how I should be replying I'm slightly terrified.) To answer your concern, Valentine Westing is my internet pseudonym/writing pen name. If you'd like further proof of that, I also have a Google+ page and a tumblr blog under this name. Also, I go by it so often that many of my close friends have taken to calling me Val or Valentine... Question: Why does it seem like it represents a company or organization? (P.S. Did I sign this post correctly? I'm trying so hard to learn Wikipedia editing, but man, it's confusing!) Valentine Westing (talk) 19:00, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Update--on further examination, it appears I have literally no idea how this whole "replying" thing works, many apologies for any inconvenience I've caused. (I'm a newbie, please don't hurt me!) (talk) 17:09, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Fellow Wikipedian here,
Just wanted to say that your user page shows a palpable amount of character and intelligence and that you shouldn't dub yourself as 'very lazy' or 'useless on Wikipedia.' Self-diminishment is a crime! Just remember that any contribution here that is intended to improve the site is in fact a great contribution. Anyhoo, keep up the good work–! P.S. Enjoy this picture of a Navy Dolphin jumping out of the water. Anussbaumer (talk) 15:51, 10 November 2015 (UTC) |
- Aw, well, thank you! I appreciate the dolphins. Dolphins are cool. My "lazy" userbox is more of a humorous exaggeration of who I am--I'll often wander off and not get anything done on a project I truly enjoy for weeks, for no reason other than "I don't feel like it."
(Really, though, that's an awesome dolphin.) Valentine Westing (I'm a newbie, please don't hurt me!) (talk) 16:22, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
Re GetPackers
[edit]Don't worry; I just got lucky, as I often miss things in the histories of pages too. If something isn't clear to someone, any decent user here should be willing to clarify anything that someone isn't clear about. Best wishes 331dot (talk) 17:45, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Why you Hatin' Rob Lowe?
[edit]Rob Lowe is the bestest guy in Hollywood. He is Supa' Cool. He be like "Aye yo Mr. Pres why you gotta be hatin' on my new political agenda home dawg" Rob Lowe is the coolest guy to ever cool. But in all seriousness, thanks for fixing it because I was seriously hoping someone would fix it before some poor kid needed that page for school work, I was gonna fix it after my friend took a picture for our teacher. Keep up the good work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.154.39.200 (talk) 21:04, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hey, no problem. It only required pressing a couple of buttons, but thanks for the props, glad to know someone appreciates it! :) Valentine Westing (talk) 21:30, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. ⁓ Hello71 17:47, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Although in this specific case I have reported the user to WP:AIV. ⁓ Hello71 17:48, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you. I did not know about this particular page, bookmarking now. (To be honest, I'm a little lazy, and I occasionally don't check to see if it's a user or an IP in cases of obvious vandalism.) Valentine Westing (talk) 18:50, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
