Links to years
[edit]I just wanted to let you know that it is usually bad policy to put link brackets around years when citing birthdate/deathdates or most other contexts. Generally, there shouldnt be a link if it isnt relevant to the subject of the page. 1951 isnt really relevant to Jared Taylor, for example. (But overall, you're doing a very helpful job editing. Thank you for spotting the misdirected American Renaissance link, for example. Soap Talk/Contributions 01:52, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I appreciate the interest you've shown in articles related to Fairfax County. There are a few things I would like to point out to you, however. First, I noticed that you sometimes make several edits in quick succession. This sometimes makes it harder for others editors to see exactly what has happened to an article, because they have to look through a long series of diffs. You can use the "Show preview" button when editing to see how the page is going to look with your edits without saving the page. Then, once you're happy with the way it look, you can click "Save page" to save the final version. For more information on this topic, you can click here: Help:Show preview. Second, I noticed that you have been doing a lot of work editing the Notable Alumni sections of schools. This is a good idea; many of the sections are unfortunately bloated with people with little importance. However, I noticed that you've been removing the years of graduation from the alumni that are notable. We generally like to include these; if you have a good reason to remove them, please bring it up.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to respond! FlamingSilmaril (talk) 15:53, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
