Peter Erich Voss moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Peter Erich Voss. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. S0091 (talk) 17:00, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1978 Iranian politics, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

- Thank you @S0091, I was unaware of it. By the way, User:Dariushsaf21 restored his edits before I could reply on the talk page, and before you left him the message on his talk page. I don't have any evidence, but I have an hunch that there is a COI, with that user. I know, I should be practicing good faith, but its a hunch that I wanted to ask about, if we are having such hunch, what should be done about it?
- Secondly, I was thinking of restoring the page to before he changed. Would it come under disruption? The reason I want to revert his edits is because he is plain wrong, I have researched NIAC, the previous content is factually accurate, and also based on reliable sources like politico. Kindly, guide me in these regard. Thank you. Utaq (talk) 19:24, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Utaq! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of National Iranian American Council several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:National Iranian American Council, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 20:41, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you once again for your guidance. I will keep it in mind, and will follow it. Thank you. Utaq (talk) 22:56, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

- Thank you for your comment. I do understand the COI policies, if I had I would declare it rather having getting my account suspended. But then again, who would hire a 15 year old? :D Utaq (talk) 21:00, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 17:42, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not to be offensive, however, this is laughable. As mentioned before, I have no COI, if I had I would have declared it, as it would have been easier. Utaq (talk) 01:13, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
