Sorry to hear about your father, though it's really cool that you're the son of Duris Maxwell, a drummer of many famous bands including Devin Townsend's album Ki. Also I'm sorry about reverting your changes, but we couldn't keep any unsourced/poorly sourced info hanging around. However, we can help you find good reliably sourced information, so don't worry. RIP Duris Maxwell....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 23:40, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi. Thanks for the reply. He was a hell of a drummer. Complex dude, but talented.
I've done a bit of a crash course on wikipedia in the last few hours. Ha.
So, the funeral home will be posting an obituary on Monday. Given the COI thing, can I use it as a source (linking to it at the bottom of the page) and cite it in the biography? Also want to add his date of passing and tweak some grammar - change some tenses. Am i able to do that without it being removed? Just not sure how this works.
Also want to remove the living bio thing at the top. Any guidance would be very much appreciated. All the best. Unfortunatebiologicalson (talk) 00:34, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Sure, but you might want to check with the admins about whether or not the source the obituary is going to be in is reliable. I know some sources might not be as reliable as they appear, so it's good to be extra careful. All the best to you too....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 01:50, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Geez I hope a link from a funeral home is official enough. I was hoping this would be easier. Sigh. Thanks again for the insight. Unfortunatebiologicalson (talk) 03:07, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
