Thanks for your message in regards the peacock in Florida. The official view can be found here http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/nonnatives/birds/common-peafowl/ "Species are present but not confirmed to be breeding. Population persists only with repeated introductions and/or escapes of individuals" The article "List of introduced species" only lists those species for which there is an independent wild breeding population. The official view is that there is not. Even if you were certain that there was a breeding population (rather than escaped birds), it would still require you to find an authoritative source to back up that opinion before it could be entered into Wikipedia.Jameel the Saluki (talk) 11:04, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
