[edit]Ulster Vanguard (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have not een engaged in edit warring; I simply reversed edits that were made by people by-passing on-going dispute resolutions on the discussion pages. I have not edited any article material since I was informed about the three-revert rule. This block is simply heavy handed
Decline reason:
In any case it's only 24 hours, so please wait it out and come back tomorrow. — -Pilotguy contact tower 03:12, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Advice
[edit]While I appreciate that you did not continue edit-warring after being informed of 3RR, it nevertheless is a ring-fenced policy. You violate it, you will be blocked. That said, if you now appreciate that edit-warring is bad and intend not to continue to do so in future, then you may be unblocked soon. However, there are a few things that don't exactly encourage me that you fully understand how things work around here. Firstly, by deleting the message I left for you, rather than responding to it, you don't exactly give the impression that you learned from the 3RR advice, rather that you ignored it. Secondly, heading your talkpage with PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE MESSAGES isn't exactly welcoming is it? People will only ignore it (since this is the place to leave messages for you). I would strongly suggest re-evaluating your attitude towards working with other editors in a constructive manner. Then your request to be unblocked may be received better.
