Request for edit summary
[edit]When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 16:27, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Your edits may well be correct, but can you kindly please add a source? :) That page is a magnet for unsourced content, and sourcing would be greatly appreciated. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:50, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Good news! You are approved for access to 80 million articles in 6500 publications through HighBeam Research.
- Account activation codes have been emailed.
- To activate your account: 1) Go to http://www.highbeam.com/prof1
- The 1-year, free period begins once you enter the code.

- When the 1-year period is up, check the applications page to see if renewal is possible. We hope it will be.
Thanks for helping make Wikipedia better. Enjoy your research! Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 04:49, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Inaccuracies in the Da Vinci Code
[edit]Hi. You added material to the Inaccuracies in the Da Vinci Code article, which states that the Jesus bloodline theory,, might be revived by a September 2012 presentation, but the source you cited for this is a 1998 book. Can you explain this? Nightscream (talk) 01:53, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
Gospel of Jesus' Wife
[edit]Further to the note above, you also added content to Gospel of Jesus' Wife which is not supported by sources. The claims themselves might be supported by unrelated sources but no sources exist linking the two gospels together specifically. This is still considered Original Research under WP:SYNTH - ideas "synthed" together when the connection is not supported by sources. Until a reliable secondary source links the two, including these ideas is not appropriate, as the connection is your own idea or research. I have hidden the content rather than deleting it. If you can find a source, great. If not, it should be removed until it can be verified.
I note you have also included content about the above article in other articles where you think there is a connection. Again, the inclusion of these claims are not supported by sources and should be removed until you can find appropriate sources. Cheers, Stalwart111 (talk) 02:12, 22 September 2012 (UTC).
- Hi again mate. Thanks for your further contributions. These are much closer to what I was talking about above - assertions backed up by proper references. Thanks for putting the effort into verifying the content you added. I have cleaned the text up a bit in line with the manuals of style but it didn't need too much editing. Cheers! Disambiguation link notification for October 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Extraterrestrial life, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Irish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Mistero is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mistero until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Baldy Bill (sharpen the razor|see my reflection) 22:25, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

IP Extender question
[edit]Just FYI, I've managed to solve my problem, and the same (or similar) solution may work for you. My extender had an IP on the wrong subnet (192.168.0.123, when all my other devices were on the 192.168.1.* subnet), so I regained access by factory resetting and changing the static IP to 192.168.1.123. Since you can't get on even after a factory reset, you could try modifyin your router DHCP settings so that the subnet it's assigning everything to includes the static IP you assigned for the extender (and if that still doesn't work, the factory default). Assuming the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, then this just means the first 3 sections of the IP need to be the same. MChesterMC (talk) 09:06, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
