Uploading a copywritten trademark logo

Hi, I have read extensive notes about copywrite protection, non-free use imagaes and logos, etc but I cannot seem to find the spot / form to actually use to record this information, browse to get the logo and upload the trademark verification information and image to Wikipedia. I have the logo in my computer as a jpg. The article that I am currently working on is The Nurturing Network (www.nurturingnetwork.org). I would like to put this trademarked logo in the Info Box associated with the article. Thanks in advance for your help. Ukealong (talk) 21:52, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- If you are certain that your image does not violate any copyright and is included under fair use, you can upload it at Special:Upload and choose the appropriate licensing there. I hope that helps. Cheers! Topher385 (talk) 22:10, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

Help Getting the Nurturing Network's Logo Inserted Into their Info Box
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I have requested and received from the Nurturing Network (TNN) a link for their logo and a link that illustrates the copywrite protection on the logo. I cannot understand all the nuances and variables covered on multiple Wikipedia help pages about copywrite protection. TNN would appreciate having the logo in their box and anyone is welcome to use the logo if they are referring to TNN. No one can plagarize it, adapt it, "steal" it and call it their own. What must happen in order to get the logo inserted into the article? I don't have enough experience with Wikipedia to do it myself. Here are the two links: http://nurturingnetwork.org/TNNLogoCopywrite.pdf and http://nurturingnetwork.org/images/logo.jpg. Thank you for your help. Ukealong (talk) 20:05, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Essentially the basic point about copyright on Wikipedia is that we have to credit the author (or publisher, or both) of an image because of legal reasons. To do this for a copyrighted logo (which almost all logos are), you have to fill out
{{Non-free use rationale}}
and add{{Non-free logo}}
on the image's file page. I'll upload the Nurturing Network logo and fill out the licensing tags for you, if you wish. If you have any more questions just change{{help me-helped}}
to{{help me}}
and ask your question below, or contact me on my talk page. Cheers, Samwb123T-C-E 21:31, 23 August 2011 (UTC) - Done, Uploaded as File:Nurturing Network logo.jpg. Thanks, Samwb123T-C-E 23:26, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
