Thanks for contributing, I'd just like to point out two conventions you should read up on since you're new here:

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Please also see Wikipedia:Citing sources for the proper way and style to do citations on Wikipedia.

I noticed you recently edited New Zealand. You may be interested in New Zealander-Israeli relations which I recently started. Respectfully, Republitarian 22:47, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About Scandinavia

[edit]

Hi Ujalm, I like the last reorganization you did of the Scandinavia article. Nice improvement. About the fact request you inserted in the second section: I made it invisible for the time being..I need to ask you why you consider it necessary to have a reference for that statement. Would you prefer to see all the sources assembled in one place to show "various ways" disciplines and different people with different political aims define Scandinavia? I'm not sure I understand the request, to be honest. It's not exactly a contested fact that there are various definitions that make different countries either included or excluded in "Scandinavia". The article itself demonstrates that so is the case---as does the heated discussion on the talk page. I guess I'm wondering why we need a source that states the obvious, namely that Scandinavia sometimes means different things to different people and different things in different disciplines? Just checking. I'll find one if that's what you are looking for though. :) Best wishes, Pia 01:57, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thx for your comment on my Talk page, Ujalm. Have to take care of my self next. I agree with the above that the "Edit summary" can be of great help. BW & regards, Thomasmeeks 21:47, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Israeli Settlements

[edit]

I think the Israeli Settlements page, as well as the associated pages (West Bank, etc, etc) could use your influence. I've noticed a couple of editors who have a POV they are pushing on these pages. MarkB2 00:25, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Such pessimism! The "Likudniks," if that's what they are, do have an editorial bent that is stubborn, and some of them may be admins, but I don't think that's a reason to give up. I'm not interested in slapping down their influence and edits: my only concern is making sure the relevant articles don't get completely out of hand. I think that's a realistic goal that can be attained. MarkB2 21:16, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not. You'll see. Ujalm 15:10, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
