- Dear Sir/Madam
- I am not trying to write something on my own or in fever of her. I'm just trying to report the wrong date of birth. She's Pakistan's biggest film and TV celebrity. and her date of birth is wrong. So kindly let me know how I can report this and update this. Ufjohns (talk) 19:19, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
Conflict of interest policy
[edit]Hello, Ufjohns. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Hipal (talk) 19:02, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
Please respond
[edit]Your recent editing history at Reema Khan shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Hipal (talk) 19:15, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response.
- Nothing has changed since another answered your question two years ago:
Give a reference to the reliable source in which it is published; if it's not been published it's not acceptable for Wikipedia.
[1] - There's a discussion on her date of birth at the article talk page, Talk:Reema_Khan#Birthdate, which is where discussion needs to take place to resolve this. --Hipal (talk) 20:03, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

- As has been already explained, we can only work from published material. Perhaps you can get the publisher of one of the sources currently used to print a correction? --Hipal (talk) 03:13, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

Jasdip Singh Jesse moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Jasdip Singh Jesse. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 01:13, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jasdip Singh Jesse
[edit]Hello Ufjohns,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Jasdip Singh Jesse for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

- Hello, Ufjohns,
- If you are appealing this deletion tagging, please go to the User talk page of the admin to make your case. They will never see your message on an orphaned talk page. I need to delete this talk page but will leave it up for another hour or two in case you want to copy the message. If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! - I respectfully request the reconsideration of the deletion of the Wikipedia page dedicated to Jasdip Singh Jesse, previously removed due to concerns over unambiguous advertising or promotion. This decision may have been based on a misunderstanding of the content's intent, which was not promotional but aimed at documenting the notable achievements and contributions of a significant individual in his field.
- Jasdip Singh Jesse serves as the Chairman of Sikhs of America and the COO of the Center for Social Change, playing a pivotal role in community service and cultural integration. His noteworthy achievements include receiving an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Washington Adventist University, highlighting his impact and notability within the community and broader societal contributions.
- In compliance with Wikipedia's content policies, I propose a revised page focusing strictly on verifiable and neutral content substantiated by reliable third-party sources:
- These sources confirm his notability, independent of any promotional intent. I am committed to collaborating with the Wikipedia community to address any concerns and revise the page as necessary to meet Wikipedia’s standards.
- Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to your feedback and am ready to make any required adjustments to ensure the page adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines. Ufjohns (talk) 16:49, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
