Re: AFC Submission: John Robyns (Royal Marines officer)
[edit]Re your message: I moved the article into the article space at John Robyns. There are no articles that link to him, so you should search out articles where he would appropriately linked. You might consider using citation templates to help format your citations. It helps keep the formatting consistent. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:50, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Re your message: Not a problem. Thank you for creating the article and your service, too. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:37, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Re your message: No need to apologize. Your article was fine and needed very little work. If I can be of any further assistance, feel free to contact me. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:07, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

John Robyns
[edit]Article: John Robyns.
Do you know "Robyns" is the correct spelling of his name or is it "Robins"? Adamdaley (talk) 23:08, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Would you like me to add an Infobox for this article? Adamdaley (talk) 02:47, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- I've started the Infobox. For more Infobox's type in the search above "Category:Infobox_templates" without the ". It will come up with all the Infobox's. Adamdaley (talk) 11:33, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- If you do not know all of the Infobox details that is OK. Nothing wrong with leaving some things blank, because someone else can come along and put them there. Keep up the good work. Adamdaley (talk) 16:07, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Another Richard Williams
[edit]Dear USMarine51: I see that you have been editing Richard Williams (Royal Marines officer). There's a draft article about another marine of the same name, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Richard Williams (Royal Marines officer born 1757), which could use some TLC. The two men were originally written up in a single draft article, and I split it into two separate pages. I am letting you know about this on the off-chance that you may be interested in improving the second one so that it can be moved to mainspace. I myself don't know much about military subjects. —Anne Delong (talk) 13:45, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- @ Anne Delong - That's the one I declined above. Both consist almost entirely of WP:OR. Sionk (talk) 18:01, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't scroll to the bottom of the page before I posted. It's not ready, for sure. If I'd checked who had submitted it, I would have realized that my posting was unnecessary. I was hoping that someone would improve it. —Anne Delong (talk) 20:00, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
