Objectives

[edit]

This is the list of things that need to be improved, worked on, or created in the draft for the Lego Marvel Super Heroes article. Feel free to add any constructive criticism.

  • Reflist = Flesh out all referenced in the article, so it includes, URL, publisher, access date, date, author, etc.
  • System Requirements = Under the "Development" tab. Consult the link given in the reflist (leads to the Steam page).
  • The synopsis of the miniseries is a quote that looks plagiarized. It's in an overly promotional tone and doesn't really describe what happens. It should also be a little longer - maybe two paragraphs. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Cast lists aren't standard for game articles. If you look at FAs and GAs, even games that have had particularly well-received voice acting or numerous celebrities in their casts don't have their casts listed as a separate section. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Similarly, the Characters list is a bit excessive. I'd recommend collapsing the table or reworking that section into prose. Lists of playable characters are discouraged on Wikipedia. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Plot might be a little long and detailed, although I've only played the first level so I can't be sure. It's your judgment call. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Conversely, Gameplay feels too short and summative. As it is now, the reader wouldn't really understand how the game actually plays out from that section. Obviously, they're not the same game, but I'd recommend looking at the Gameplay section of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (which I got to FA a few years ago - is that why you contacted me?) for a basic idea. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The intro needs to be rewritten; it doesn't mention anything about the plot or reception, for example. Intros should summarize the major points from throughout their articles. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's no Development section. You can probably find information about the game's development in articles by, say, IGN, Kotaku, or GameSpot. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This may all sound like a lot of criticism, but the article isn't nearly as bad as I'd expected from reading your post. I imagine you could get it to GA without too much trouble if you fix these issues. Tezero (talk) 01:43, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, can you take a look at my sandbox page to see the updated version, please. It's how the page will look like once I'm done. URDNEXT (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 01:55, 3 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding FA icon

[edit]

I think the icon's considered acceptable here because this page isn't in article-space, so it automatically won't show up in the category. Tezero (talk) 19:13, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alright. I'll change it! Tezero URDNEXT (talk) 19:37, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, no, you don't have to. I was just letting you know because you'd left an edit summary or something saying that you knew you weren't supposed to. It's fine if you do, AFAIK. Tezero (talk) 19:39, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
