[edit]Hello, I'm Azealia911. I noticed that you made a change to an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Specifically to genre changes for artists/song/albums. Removing sourced genres or adding unsourced genres simply because you believe them to be such way is nonconstructive to Wikipedia. Thankyou --Azealia911 talk 16:01, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Aaliyah
[edit]Blend doesn't mean influence, if I blend red and yellow to create orange, the red didn't "influence" the orange, it created it, in the same way that the source calls Aaliyah a blend of R&B and pop. Azealia911 talk 19:14, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Aaliyah (album). Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Non-free rationale for File:Pon de Replay UK 2 Track Single.JPEG
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Pon de Replay UK 2 Track Single.JPEG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nick—Contact/Contribs 16:53, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @NickW557: Done it to both the Pon de Replay one and the If It's Lovin' that You Want, hope I've done the right thing UKoXYgen (talk) 20:19, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @UKoXYgen: From what I can tell, all you've done on each image is link to the guideline about fair use rationales, not actually added one. A fair use rationale is a statement that addresses each of the individual rules about using non-free files on Wikipedia and states how the image complies with that rule. There are templates you can use for this purpose. Check out Template:Non-free use rationale album cover and scroll down to the Documentation to see what you'd need to fill in. --Nick—Contact/Contribs 20:42, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @NickW557: Do I have to fill out the override section or is that something the admin or someone else does? UKoXYgen (talk) 20:48, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @UKoXYgen: Only if the information for those sections is different than what is default for the template. Because that template was designed for album covers, it helps you out by having default answers to some of the sections that apply to most album covers. If the default answers to the override fields (seen at the top in the example of the template) fit your situation, leave it blank to use the default answer. If not, then fill it out. --Nick—Contact/Contribs 20:54, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @NickW557: I've done it on both of 'em; can you give it a once over and if I've missed anything feel free to fill it out please. UKoXYgen (talk) 20:56, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
