Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Tzvee! I am Brewcrewer and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! brewcrewer (yada, yada) 03:16, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Ok how do I edit a semi protected page? e.g. Timothy Geithner... thanks Tzvee (talk) 03:20, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- You need to be an autoconfirmed user to edit semi-protected pages. That means 10 edits and 4 days of being active. //roux 03:23, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]I noticed you on the Abu El Haj page. I can't agree, lots of people went to Sunday School but then left the church. It's not like being Jewish. If you stop attending, you really aren't Episcopalian any more unless you say that you are, though the fact that you were brought up that way continues to be a meaningful part of your biography. I'm writing to urge you to stick around. Wikipedia has a fairly arcane set of rules. You happened to wade onto a controversial page. Nothing wrong with that, but you'll probably have to make a few more edits, read some talk pages, and get the hang of editing. One of the best ways to do this is to read and edit a bit on controversial pages (you can identify them by the length of their talk pages, and find them by seeing where else the editors on one controversial page are making contributions) dealing with subjects that you know well. Wikipedia needs editors. Do stay.Historicist (talk) 22:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Historicist
Oh, and click your name on the tool bar and write something about yourself. This will change the color of your name form red to blue. A red name is like a flag announcing your greenhorn status.Historicist (talk) 22:26, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Historicist
