Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Tzolfaghari, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Wikipedia as a source

[edit]

WP:CIRCULAR explains that we must not use Wikipedia as a source. if you need to add a citation to Fertility tourism for content about surrogacy laws in the USA, then of course you can check the references used in Surrogacy laws by country #United States, but please make use of the relevant sources found in that article, rather than using the article itself as a source. Hope that helps. --RexxS (talk) 21:14, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MEDRS

[edit]

I'm concerned about this edit where you've used primary studies to source biomedical claims. Please re-read WP:MEDRS for the standards of sourcing for biomedical information.

I've left a note at Talk:Fertility tourism #Risks of IVF that suggests one site I found which I used to source your first sentence. Please look again for the best quality sources about the risks of IVF and fix the content in that section, particularly the content where I've added the {{citation needed}} templates. It's usual to allow a short time for unreliably-sourced content to be given better sourcing, but I will find myself obliged to remove that content if the sourcing isn't improved. --RexxS (talk) 19:27, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
